I’m off this week, so lots of nice reading time. Finished Pineapple Street by Jenny Jackson, which was meh (I guess I rarely enjoy books about excessively rich people), and Looking for Jane by Heather Marshall, which I really enjoyed — definitely not amazing literary merit, but a great story and elements that were just right for me right now. Now reading The Bandit Queens by Parini Shroff — interesting, feels a bit like starting in the middle of the conversation.
I finally finished A Day of Fallen Night! It was very good but I didn't love it as much as Priory. I had a crazy busy work week though and it was perfecrt escapism each evening.
I'm starting A Kind Worth Saving now. I have pretty low expectations going in. I liked the earlier book but have been disappointed in most of his other stuff.
QOTW: Kind of lame but I really like all green vegetables!

Finished Remarkably Bright Creatures and it was really sweet. I would recommend.
Still reading Troy and Arrow to the Moon, and enjoying both.
Started The Light Pirate and it's a hard read for me. Especially with the weather this past week.
QOTW: What’s your favorite green food or drink? (I’m not Irish in the slightest, but I thought I should at least nod to the date.) roasted Brussels sprouts

Finishing up Georgie, All Along. Hopefully this weekend for sure!
QOTW: Someone else mentioned ice cream.. mint chocolate chip is definitely a favorite! Otherwise I think green peppers, or green beans, but they have to either be fresh and air fried, or the frozen breaded ones air fried. Basically just air fry everything! 😂
I read Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and thought it was very well done. I’m now partway through Remarkably Bright Creatures. I love that it was written by a GBCN poster! Incidentally, one of my daughters is also reading another book about an octopus this week.
Favorite green food is hard to say - several kinds of vegetables I guess. Cucumber, green beans, asparagus, arugula…

That’s so neat! :-) I loved the book. Marcellus was my favorite.
I really enjoyed The Years by Annie Ernaux. It’s not at all a plotted novel, more a series of recollections that form a narrative. She’s super honest about the female experience, maybe that’s why she won the Nobel Prize?

I just finished the House in the Cerulean Sea. I absolutely loved it and gave it five stars. And then I read some of the other reviews and see that it is based on indigenous children in Canada being removed from their homes and I need to think about that a little more.
QOTW: I like salad, especially that someone else has prepared!

I'm still in such a reading slump. I finally finished "The Day He Left", and I'm kind of mad at the ending. I feel like I missed something, but I think the writer just gave up.
I went back to Lessons in Chemistry, but didn't finish.
I started "How to Survive Your Murder" and "The Other Girlfriend", and I hope to read those by end of month if I can find time.
QOTW: I love, love spinach, Mint Choc. Chip ice cream, and broccoli.
