Just finished I’m Glad My Mom Is Dead by Jennette McCurdy. It was a super compelling read until two thirds of the way through, when she reaches her “wild” years, with numerous crappy boyfriends, and it gets a little boring. But then her recovery makes me glad for her. 3/5*
QOTW: The Bridges of Madison County. So so so bad.
Currently reading A Court of Thorns and Roses. I was curious about how this was a series and read the synopsis of the next two books. I'm about halfway through this one and wondering wtf happens to get to that third book! I'm enjoying the book so far!
QOTW: The Paris Apartment was probably the most boring book. I didn't think the "reveal" was interesting at all. The Wives was another I hated. It just made me mad, lol. It's the biggest reason I hate books with an unreliable narrator now!
I’m reading Our Best Intentions by Vibhuti Jain — interesting and well written. I’m having trouble guessing where it’s going, so also definitely not predictable.
QOTW: I can’t remember exactly what I hated about it, but The Year of Fog by Michelle Richmond stands out as a particularly bad entry on my one-star list. ETA one I hated even more: We Were Liars, YA by E. Lockhart that was very popular when it came out. That book made me loathe unreliable narrators.
I just finished Portrait of a Thief by Grade D. Li, I generally liked it. I hope to finish Enchantment by Katherine May (on audio) today. I really liked her book Wintering and am enjoying this. I also have The Girls Who Stepped Out of Line by Mari Eder for my book club, I doubt I will get it finished before my time is up.
I have several books borrowed to choose from to start today. Including How to Stop Time by Matt Haig, that I am halfway through, but was returned due to time.
QOTW: Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter, truly caused me to lose sleep. I finished because I needed to know the ending, I am unable to read more by her.
A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving, others love this book, so I kept going, was boring and not for me.
I read The Last Tale of The Flower Bride by Roshani Chokshi. It was a really interesting premise but it just didn't work.
Yesterday I read the first 1/4 of Notes on an Execution and have since decided I won't finish it. Another book that sounded good in theory but was poorly executed.
QOTW: Midair by Kodi Scheer was awful but I read it practically in one sitting. Such a trainwreck. Rock Paper Scissors and The Last Apothecary get honorable mentions. '

Finished The Light Pirate, Daughter of the Moon Goddess, and When Fox is a Thousand. I didn't enjoy Light Pirate. Fox was okay, parts were better than others. Moon Goddess was the best of the three, but too long.
Still listening to Babel. Started reading Not Your Basic Love Story, which is a pretty basic love story about trying to make a relationship work between two people from different backgrounds. Started listening to All My Rage for a bookclub.
QOTW: What is the worst book you have ever read but actually finished? Twilight.
