I know the board is pretty dead, but for those still out there, how are you doing?

I’ll check in! I restarted my sobriety (moderation is a myth for me! Who knew?!) and I’m at 53 days today.

My sister, whose struggles with alcoholism led me to take an honest look at my own drinking, continues to struggle and it’s heartbreaking.

Welcome back! I know moderation is not something I can handle either so I feel you there. Doing surprisingly well over here after a few deaths in the family.

I’ll check in. Doing pretty well. H is still sober (7.5 years) and I still regularly work the Al Anon program. I’ve made some good friends there and feel like I’m starting to learn how to build healthy relationships.

Sadly, I learned an old, dear friend passed away from alcoholism-related causes recently. He was one of the kindest people I’ve known. I’m dealing the best I know how. One day at a time…
