I'm reading The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi by S. A. Chakraborty. I'm struggling a little bit to get into it but I have also had a crazy week. Hoping to spend some time reading this weekend.
QOTW: I used to read every Monk or Pitt series book by Anne Perry as soon as they came out. My sn is actually one of her characters. I saw that she'd passed away earlier this week, which inspired the question.
tacokick is making me question my answer with the childhood series though!
I finished The House Is on Fire by Rachel Beanland, which was both a page turner and also not that interesting, strangely enough. Now reading You Could Make This Place Beautiful by Maggie Smith.
QOTW: For childhood books, probably Christopher Pike — I distinctly remember buying Slumber Party with my own money, and then I read pretty much everything he wrote. As an adult, I think Barbara Kingsolver probably wins, but I’d have to go count.

Working on Hell Bent, the sequel to Ninth House. I should have reread it because I can't remember everything that happened!
QOTW: According to Goodreads, Jodi Picoult, Abby Jimenez, Kristin Hannah, Blake Crouch (if you count his audiobook that I don't think is in print) all have 4 books on my read list. That's the most other than the HP books, but we'll just ignore those. Lol.
I am reading Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano now and finished Matchmaking for Beginners (cute fluff) and Romantic Comedy (pretty good) this week.
I have definitely read the most of Ann M Martin and Francine Pascal. For adult authors, I have read all of Jennifer Weiner, Jodi Picoult, Kristin Hannah and Mary Higgins Clark, so whoever has written the most among them, probably.
I read Vladimir by Julia May Jonas. 3.5* A writer friend recommended it, and then the librarian raved about it when she checked it out. But dang, it was cerebral even for nerdy me.
ETA: I thought more about it and decided I didn’t give it enough credit. The author had interesting things to say about sexual politics and women’s body image. I thought the main character was really well-drawn over the course of the novel. But some parts stretched belief.
QOTW: Laura Ingalls Wilder or Judy Blume as a kid, and Alice Munro as an adult.

Finished Babel, Not Your Basic Love Story, and All My Rage. Babel was the most enjoyable of the three and I enjoyed All My Rage the least. Not Your Basic Love Story was fine, but read more like a first draft.
Started listening to Part of Your World and I'm really enjoying it. It's similar to Not Your Basic Love Story in that it's two people from very different backgrounds, but it's done better.
Started reading Geekerella which is a YA Cinderella-esque story where the prince is a famous actor and the ball is a convention for a Star-Trek/Firefly-esque show. It's cute.
QOTW: Which author have you read the most books by? (This sentence seems grammatically awkward but whatever) Daniel Handler. Between the Lemony Snicket series (SoUE,AtWQ), books, and the ones he wrote under his own name, I've got over 20!
