Anyone have good shows to recommend that have shorter seasons, more like 6 or so episodes? Genre doesn’t really matter, bonus for shows on HBO Max, Disney+ or Hulu.
If you're good with offbeat/campy shows... Zomboat. 6 episodes about the zombie apocalypse, on Hulu if I remember correctly. It is totally campy, not very much gore, more humor than scary, and I loved it. I also watched after edibles, but I stand firm in my recommendation. DH hated it because its British and he doesn't have an ear for accents, but I had no issues.
Mare of Easttown (HBO) 7 eps True Detective (HBO)- S1 and S3 are the best- 8 eps Big Little Lies (HBO)- 7 eps The Undoing (HBO)- 6 eps Chernobyl (HBO)- 5 eps Queen's Gambit (Netflix)- 7 eps
Peaky Blinders on NetFlix. 6 episodes per season. You have to get through the first two episodes as they are rather slow, setting the stage and such, but then it gets pretty good. We also had to turn on subtitles due to the accents but it was a good series.
There are a few good ones on Apple+. Probably more but our free trial ran out. ETA: oh reading fail, these are all around 10 episodes per season. I find that short! LOL
Trying (so cute, but TW it is about TTTC and adoption) Severence (You *have* to watch this if you haven't already) Mythic Quest The Morning Show (also TW)

Also if you like a documentary style, I really enjoyed The World According to Jeff Goldblum on Disney+. Each episode is on an individual topic and I think they're each around 40-45 minutes long.
Aha — thank you! I tried a few different phrases but didn’t know the right term.
A limited series generally means a single season show or maybe two seasons—a show with a planned number of episodes and that’s it. It’s what we used to call a mini series.
That said, unless it’s on network tv pretty much everything has a short season now. Even many network shows are stopping at 13 episodes.
HBO Max shows — Perry Mason. Hacks. The Flight Attendant. Ghosts. Two Weeks to Live, Insecure. Starstruck
If you like Supernatural, I really enjoyed Locke and Key on Netflix. Seasons 1 and 2 have 10 episodes, and season 3 has 8. It's only the 3 seasons as well. Fair warning, I haven't gotten around to watching the 3rd season yet.
