Finished Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez. It's my favorite of her books. SO good.
Working on Wahala now. Not far enough in to have much of an opinion yet.
QOTW: Not much right now. I've been on a video game kick, lol. We usually watch John Oliver and we need to catch up on The Mandalorian! I've officially lost interest in Grey's and bored by pretty much everything else right now.
I read What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher. I enjoyed this but not as much as other books of hers that I have read.
Next I read Scorched Grace by Margot Douaihy, which was disappointing. The premise and main characeter were promising but I really didn't like the writing and lost interest by the end.
Now I am about 1/4 of the way through The Death of Jane Lawrence by Caitlin Starling. I'm not quite sure how this got on my TBR list but I suggested it to my library and received it when they purchased it. The Goodreads reviews are pretty bad but I'm enjoying it so far.
QOTW: We've been watching the new season of Yellowjackets almost in real time. Finding this season a bit slow but maybe that's because I'm not binging it? Over the weekend we watched a short mockumentary series on Netflix called Cunk on Earth that was absolutely hilarious.
I gave up on A Rip Through Time (historical mystery + time travel) and started re-reading The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet. It’s my birthday month and someone in another thread mentioned doing all rereads for her birthday month — I won’t do only rereads because I have some good new stuff on my shelf, but a few will definitely make me happy.
QOTW: we’re watching The West Wing — I think we’re in season 6. Pretty sure I stopped watching around season 5 when it was originally on, but that was due to life changes rather than not liking it.

Finished Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Deep Blue, both were disappointing.
Started reading American Mermaid which is about an author who wrote a book called American Mermaid that's being made into a movie. It's about the internal book, and the author, and the process. It's different and weird and interesting.
Started listening to A Song Below Water which is about a teenage siren in a world that demonizes them, and so far it seems to really be about being Black in today's society, and seems really topical with what's been going on this week.
QOTW: What have you been watching lately? (tv, movies, etc.) Mrs. Maisel, Ted Lasso, Schmigadoon.
Finished Unwell Women by Elinor Cleghorn. Highly recommend if you’ve ever been dismissed by a healthcare professional. Currently reading The Surgeon’s Daughter by Audrey Blake
Still chipping away at Ribbons of Scarlet by a group of historical fiction writers. Just not finding time to read. I had a few stories left on Sabrina and Corina. Good and interesting stories, I just struggle with that format so much
We don’t watch much TV, but when we do, we’ve been watching Lost with the boys and DH and I started Night Agent a few weeks ago on an at-home date night. Some of the acting is a bit cheese, but the intrigue is good.
I didn’t read it this week but had book club for Fault Lines by Emily Itami, it’s about a Japanese woman who has an affair. It’s pretty short and we all liked it.
I haven’t watched TV in a long time between work, kid stuff, volunteer stuff, trying to work out, working on my aunt’s estate, being responsive to friends, trying to pitch in around the house, etc. (This month is crazy!) My husband used some leave he has to burn yesterday and caught up on Succession, though.

Late to the party but I just finished Verity which was really good and I’m now reading The Last Word by Taylor Adams. Not sure if this will hold my interest for long.
