Wow. Isn’t it unusual for a party to have other people announce a campaign if a previous president is also running? I cannot recall this happening, but perhaps I’ve forgotten. And several now. Wow.

Yes. It's unusual to have a 1 term president, and even more unusual to have them run again when they lost their second term bid.

Boris Johnson stepping down as MP with immediate effect and says he is ‘bewildered and appalled’ at being ‘forced out’. He took the move after the Privileges Committee of the House of Commons reportedly found he misled Parliament & recommended sanction of more than 10 days.

Johnson told the Times: “It is very sad to be leaving parliament - at least for now - but above all I am bewildered and appalled that I can be forced out, anti-democratically, by a committee chaired and managed, by Harriet Harman, with such egregious bias”

I'm truly hoping that his 'honours' list is declined now - what a horrible list of horrible human beings he wants to add.

I would like Vanna to run against him just to maximize the ridiculousness of this timeline. 

eta: LOLOL, i just realized he lives in my state, in my congressional district.  ha!  I mean...I guess he could enter the race for the open senate seat but there is no chance that swings red. and the county he's in trends more conservative than the rest of central MD, but the district is dominated by my county, and just no there.  It went just over 60% for D in 2022, and I feel like my rep barely campaigned. 

Unless he's moves he's SOL.

I mean...I'm assuming it's actually where he claims residency, but obviously I have no idea.  Not that LA would be any more hospitable of a place to launch a climate change denying republican political career.  

Fun fact - the local hospital has a building named after him because he's a big donor.  I knew there was a Sajak Pavilion...but I did not realize it was THAT Sajak.

I do find it amusing that he lives in a neighborhood with a single entrance that's only a few feet above the waterline.  I bet for some mysterious reason it ends up under water more often than it used to.....can't imagine why that would be happening.
