We completed our 3rd Disney day last week. We had purchased a 3 day pass through Shades of Green (military tickets) for use last summer, but my H got Covid on day 2 and we asked them to extend the final day so we could use it in the future.
We opted to go back to Hollywood Studios since the kids have really been into Mando and Star Wars. And we had a great time!
My DD is a T1D, so we were able to utilize (and prebook) two rides on DAS. We opted to prebook Millennium Falcon and Toy Story mania; both in the late afternoon.
Note: if using DAS try to certify and prebook ASAP 30 days out from your trip.
We drove up from Sarasota in the morning and got there just before opening at 8:30. We were able to book Genie+ at 7am for Mickey’s wild ride at 8:45, so it was our first stop. As soon as we were through the line I booked rockin roller coaster for 10am. We had a bit of a hiccup where my son’s pass didn’t scan as we were coming in the front gate and couldn’t book any DAS rides without removing him from our group so we had to trudge back to the front gates to rectify that. Then we booked tower of terror through DAS.
While my H and big kids did ToT and RnR I took the smallest one to the Beauty and the Beast show and met up with them as they exited RnR.
Then we booked Rise of the Resistance through DAS which we boarded as soon as we got there. As soon as we were through the queue, I booked the Slinky ride through DAS.
After RaR, we did Toy Story mania with Genie+, then to the flying saucers with all kids and no H, because he was still recovering.
He took the smaller kid to Frozen, while I took the bigs to Slinky dog dash then a quick bite at Woody’s. Then booked RaR on DAS a second time. H and littlest one came back and we made our way to our pre-booked Millennium falcon, did RaR one last time and took my son to the “best” Star Wars gift shop where he got his own Boba Fett and Mando figurines (for $70 🤢).
While we shopped, my H took my girls to Toy Story mania a second time.
We ended up leaving around 4pm but got a LOT in.
Then we stayed at the Gaylord Palms resort (on points) and it was quite possibly even better than our Disney day. Amazing pools, water slides, lazy river. Awesome bars and restaurants. Amazing atmosphere and such kind staff. We ended up staying and extra day just to enjoy the hotel itself before heading back.
The whole trip was quick, but amazing and memorable for all of us.
