I love it! I think my kitchen could have a similar layout. Is the eating area on the other side of the peninsula? Do you have any idea on the dimensions of your kitchen?

It looks really nice! We bought our house 20 years ago and it was extremely dated even then. We have redone other rooms, but starting this summer/fall, we are beginning our first kitchen reno. The countertops we picked looked similar to yours!

Homeowners insurance reimbursement seems to vary wildly. I have friends with horror stories, and also friends who made out like bandits when things happened and they had to have things redone through insurance coverage. It doesn't even seem to come down to insurance company. I'm glad you kept trying with them.

Yep! Here’s an old/bad pic that shows the layout (which we didn’t change). Dimensions including the eating area are 21’9” x 13’. Just the kitchen portion is 11’7” x 13’. It stops at the doorwall.

It looks beautiful! You don’t happen to be in the Chicago suburbs, do you? My house looks absolutely identical to yours in layout/size. (I realize it’s a common layout, but I feel like I’m looking at my house, which is very helpful since I’m looking to redo my kitchen!)
