Terrifying is right. They're not just wanting to be authoritarian dictators, they're actively campaigning on it. And people will like it. There was a comment about by being open that this is their goal from the begin, should they win, they can claim that it's a mandate that people wanted and voted for. And they're not wrong about that.

Nothing groundbraking here. We all TFG is dumb and doesn't read, but I was amused at describing him as "incandescently stupid." But, the eaple given about just how they'd whittle down security reports is actually scary. Yes, I know they will write in his voice if that's what's needed. They'll make him a cartoon or graphic novel. But even this was too much as he just stopped taking this briefings at all pretty early on IIRC.
