Where in NJ? I’m in Bergen county and have had a ton of trouble.
With mounjaro or wegovy? I think Wegovy is having more issues all over right now.
I never had a problem getting wegovy, I do think it is the lower doses are the ones with the delays, I was on the 2.4, I have not had any problems with zepbound so far either.

I just sent a message to my doctor asking her to switch the medication to zepbound. I confirmed it's covered with my isurance. I called about 10 pharmacies today and none of they have had the starter dose of Wegovy for months. I finally spoke with a very nice pharmacist at a small grocery store pharmacy that used to help me get a specific generic version of concerta for my son and she suggested switching to zepbound because their vendor currently has it in stock. Fingers crossed this works. Someone said Caremark has Wegovy in-stock, but to order thru caremark is 120/month versus 60/month picking it up in store. I know that I can get reimbursed thru the wegovy card if they continue it next year, but it seems so silly that it's double the price.

I'm in south Jersey right outside of philly. My pharmacy is Walgreens.
My sister is in central Jersey on Wegovy and she hasn't had any issues getting it. She just had to reduce her dose due to vomiting after every meal. But at her most recent doctor's appointment, they told her she is in the top like 5% of losers as she has lost over 25% body weight.
I am on my second week of Saxenda and no side effects so far. I have noticed being less hungry especially at night.
I had my annual visit with my PCP today and spoke about my health goals and injection options. He said that I am a good candidate for Zepbound but I would not qualify for insurance coverage. He was pretty frustrated when saying it’s about $1K OOP/month. He suggested and we opted for a Rx for a metabolism booster that was also a good option based on my needs/goals, including cost.

My zepbound was finally approved. The PCP's office forgot to submit it so it was just submitted yesterday, but I got an email this morning that it was approved. The pharmacy ordered it and it should be in tomorrow afternoon. I am nervous, but excited about this. I have an extra long weekend so I am going to take my first does on Thursday night in case I have any side effects.

Oh I was looking for this thread before. After not having Wegovy for about 4 months, I just started the lowest dose of Zepbound. I am pretty nervous based on my Wegovy symptoms from when I quit but hopeful for good results!

What were some of your symptoms? The side effects is what is making me the most nervous.

once I hit the the 1.7mg dose I had severe nausea, headaches and complete lack of appetite/food enjoyment. Sounds counterproductive as before I took it I would have thought that would be perfect but it was really bad. I couldn't even look at food without feeling sick. I was hungry but all food tasted like sawdust and completely unappealing. Not eating anything was making me sick and it was a never ending circle.
throughout all the doses, I had some constipation but that was the most manageable.
I've been on Mounjaro for 11 months, lost 55 pounds. I've been on the 10mg dose since August and about a month ago I started having sulphur burps, diarrhea, and really "bubbly" stomach about 48 hours each week after I tale my dose. I hadn't experienced any side effects until then. Ugh. I really don't want to get off it and I'm wondering if anyone else was on their med for a long time and then start experiencing side effects.
My doc wrote a script for zepbound to see if my insurance would approve, and it was filled within a couple hours. Didn’t pick it up because it’s astronomical in cost.
My doc wants to talk oral meds like Contrave and Qysmia.
There is a manufacturer's coupon you can use if you have commercial insurance without weight loss medication coverage.
It’s still over $500 a month if you don’t have coverage, sadly.
I am taking an oral medication now, but I have no idea if it’s working or not. 🤷♀️
Yeah, I see that. It’s still pretty cost prohibitive for so many people.
I lucked out by attempting to fill my 7.5 rx and it got filled and covered! I’m not sure if my provider did a PA or not, but I went and picked it up. 🤷🏻♀️

Maybe try omeprazole (I think Prilosec is the over the counter for that) to see if it counteracts it before cutting your dose, if you want to stay where you are.

Did you try to lower the dose?
AJL - I was going to ask you the same. I don’t know if you’re actively trying to lose weight, but could you try a lower dose and see if symptoms improve? Or if you need the higher dose for blood sugar management.
I think this was for me. If so, I couldn’t go lower than 1.7mg on Wegovy due to the nationwide shortage. The lower doses were nearly impossible to find (and still are).

I started zepbound on Friday. I am still under the weather which is impacting my appetite so I have been forcing myself to eat and focusing on protein and fiber. I plan to make some breakfast bowls later today for the rest of the week and make extra BBQ chicken, sweet potato and broccoli bowls that we are having for dinner tonight for lunch the next couple of days. I bought protein shakes and fairlife nutrition and plan to add a shake in during the afternoon. I am having a little bit of reflux issues, but prevacid is taking care of it.
