I wish the fair wasn't so insanely crowded, I haven't been in years! We usually go to Ren Fest instead.

We usually try to pick a mid-week day that has a 25-30% chance of rain. Low enough that it won't rain all day, but a high enough chance that a chunk of people will choose a different day.

Of course, with how dry it's been this summer, who knows if we'll get one of those days this year.

That's usually what I'd do but I feel like even those days have been so busy! We'll have to think about it this year. One of these years we'll go again!

The finished product doesn’t sound bad but I think I’d avoid saying it was supposed to be a bagel croissant hybrid! Talk about opposites!

Doughnuts and croissants are both light, airy pastries.

Bagels are boiled, chewy bread. I love bagels but they’re nothing like a doughnut or a croissant.

I’ve been working on this vintage cookbook project archiving for a year and there are so many recipes for ham loaf! Or recipes that look normal but then they are are half ground beef, half ground ham.

That’s exactly what has kept me from trying one of the recipes.
