I have a small glove compartment. I have my car manual and my registration in there. It isn’t necessary to have insurance info stored in the glove box here. I usually wind up storing fuses and repair and maintenance receipts there. I also keep a parking “dial” there.
A first aid kit, vests for two people, masks for two people, and a warning triangle are required by law here and I keep them in the trunk.
I hate that they’re doing that. Our last car the manual came on a CD Rom, except we no longer had a computer with a CD Rom drive in our house, so we couldn’t use it. But the few times I’ve needed my car’s owner’s manual have rarely been when I’m sitting at home able to use a CD Rom or a USB drive, but when I’m out and there’s an issue, when a physical book is necessary. My new car has a physical book, but I also can access the owners manual through the car’s app, which is fine.
