“Twitter raised concerns that prosecutors were seeking data that could be covered by executive privilege — a contention that drew incredulous responses from both prosecutors and the judge, who said Trump was unlikely to be doing government business with senior aides via Twitter DM.”

This is another insane theory that is not driven by any particular knowledge of technology, site/app design and so forth, but is there any concern that what Twitter hands over would have been scrubbed or deleted given the delay? Normally I wouldnt even think that, but Twitter is… a lot less functional than it used to be and it feels more in the realm of possibility for a failing company with an off the rails CEO. I dunno.
ETA: if such a thing is possible, and I really have no idea.

There's always a concern that a company would delete things before handing evidence over. I'm going to guess that when looking at this they're going to also look to see if they can find any evidence of deletion.

Thanks that makes sense. Given how weird they are being about pursuing excuses not to turn it over I assume if there’s nothing there of note that the special council is going to be looking reeeeeeeally hard for evidence of tampering.

I’m not an attorney*
It ultimately depends on what they turned over and what the technical experts the Prosecutors have to determine if they think they have everything from Twitter/X.
Is there a risk they didn’t provide everything, always.
Given that they haven’t challenged what they’ve received further via legal means and moved forward with indictments indicates they had enough.
Some what related - I am super surprised the Marlo Largo video evidence was still available so many months after it was captured.
The part of the Twitter thing that I find so fascinating is that some of the data recovery includes DRAFTS, because they can be used to back-channel information, so long as each participant has the password.
Also, it is interesting that the language in the indictment re: Twitter messages reads "caused to be tweeted". So the dumb orange guy didn't have to tweet the shit himself, he is liable for what appeared in his account.
Originally I just thought "Tweets" but when they asked for drafts, DM's, deleted stuff, location information, various sign-ins, etc then I thought about all the juicy info or who else could be tweeting.
Also, I wonder if they can identify which tweets were shown to him or that he viewed...like which nonsense was the alogrithm promoting to Trump?
I’m so curious about this because he was not following that people people when he had an account. It’s also known he doesn’t put anything in writing and he isn’t techy enough to know when you get a dm etc so wondering what they’ll find.
