I finished a The Last Ranger by Peter Heller, 3* (I didn't like it was much as some of his others) and I will finish Just Another Missing Person by Gillian Mc Allister tonight.
Qotw: I like having everything planned well in advance.
Earlier in the week I read The Dry by Jane Harper. It was a pretty good mystery with a less common setting and I liked it enough that I will continue with the series.
Now I am reading House of Roots and Ruin by Erin E. Craig. I'm a little over halfway through and it's fine but not as good as the previous book.
QOTW: This question was inspired by my booking flights for next June on the last day of our vacation this summer. I usually have ideas for several years out but where we end up going depends on a lot of factors.

There is an Erica Bana movie of The Dry that’s pretty good.
The rest of the books are good too; I think the newest one is my favorite.

About halfway through Tower of Dawn (Throne of Glass series). We were out of town this weekend and I tried to read in the car but otherwise didn't have much time!
QOTW: I am impatient, and I grew up on last minute vacations. We flew standby, so we often had tentative plans that changed last minute because we'd go wherever there were open seats (most often Florida or California but once we ended up going to Hawaii). Hotels and car rentals were booked after we knew we were getting on flights. So having trips planned in advance is a strange concept to me 😂 I've been planning a little in advance but not a ton. I do tend to research like CRAZY before booking something though. By the time I book, I've read reviews, gotten input from friends and family, Googled things to do, etc.

Finished Funny You Should Ask and Would Like to Meet. Funny You Should Ask was fine but I loved Would Like to Meet. It was the perfect Romcom.
Started reading The Daydreams, about a reunion of actors from a teenage Glee-like television show.
Started listening to The Standup Groomsmen which follows Donut Fall in Love by focusing on secondary characters (the roommate and best friend who are members of the wedding party for the main characters in the first book).
QOTW: When it comes to travel, are you someone who books stuff far out or plans things at the last minute? I book everything pretty far out. I'm in a standstill right now because Disney doesn't open hotel bookings for 2024 yet, but I'll book that as soon as they do and then the rest of our 2024 vacations shortly after.
I finished Black Cake 4* and The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue 3*. Invisible Life was a neat concept but just too darn long. I just started Dark Corners. I read the first book in the series (Night Swim) and thought it was meh, but this one has better reviews, so I figured I'd try. So far, same reaction. I don't really like the jumping back and forth and don't understand why so many authors use that method of writing.
I'm a planner, mostly because I feel like you have to be! We used to make camping reservations for a couple of weekends out, but now everything is booked months in advance!
