So, the quick background, for those not familiar with my story: We are selling our starter house and buying our forever/where we plan to raise our kids home about 40 minutes away from where we currently live.
(Unfortunately) - the house I fell in love with is a house that is being sold as a short sale. I did NOT know quite what we were getting into. I knew it would be a "slightly" longer process. Had no idea how long it would take.
We put in our offer on 3/9, by 3/12 we were under contract.... but still needed to hear from the seller's bank about whether they approve the purchase price or not.
Nothing in writing YET - but got the call this evening from our realtor that everything has been APPROVED!!! Tentative close date of June 29th but we might be able to move it up, even if only by a few days (realtor suspects they said 6/29 simply because thats what was written in the contract, 'on or before').
So Monday ((should)) be insane. We've got to submit everything to our lender, definitively agree on a close date for selling our house and buying..... and FINALLY start moving forward!!!!!!! We also have to schedule our own inspection and hope all goes well with that. Hoping that this last stretch goes smoothly.
