I received the Hocus Pocus Lego kit for my birthday. It's my first ever kit I've put together and I'm hooked. I know that I can buy lit kits for builds, but don't know what I'm looking for. Any recs?
We have used Game of Bricks light kits (home alone set and we have one for boutique hotel but haven’t put it together yet). DH helped DS2 (11) to put it in - I think it was a bit of a pain in the ass, but probably more due to it being hard for DS rather than an adult.
We have numerous lego light kits from Lightailing on Amazon. My husband likes them and they look good (We have blacksmith, bonsai, ship in bottle, and fishing village). Put the lights in as you build if possible.

Poop, I'm already more than halfway through the build.
Looking back through my orders, I’ve used lightailing and brickbling.
You can usually go back in after and make adjustments to add your lighting, but it’s so much easier if you build it in as you go.
It is still fun to totally dismantle and rebuild, though. I do it for my Home Alone house every Christmas 😁
ETA - I’m not loyal to a specific brand through. I just look through Amazon for a set that looks good and has decent reviews. Some of the brands will do slightly different lighting on any particular build, so I might prefer one over another at any point.
I really wanted a lighting kit for the Back to the Future DeLorean kit. I ultimately decided against it because it was a lot of money, very tiny pieces to work with (which I know I would struggle with) and I just couldn't see myself lighting it up very often. The lighting kits look super cool and if you think you would turn on the lights often, it's probably worth it.
Oh, I didn't even know this was a thing! I would have loved one while we were doing the Chamber of Secrets set. I fear it may be too hard to add it in now. That one has glow in the dark lego pieces.
