FYI - there's a dining gift card promo just announced - up to $1k, depending on your hotel level.
DH and I have been going back and forth about what to do for spring break next year. We were looking at lots of options, but flights that week are so incredibly expensive (our spring break is the same week as Easter next year). I looked at the calendar and our kids have an institute day on March 1, so we just booked 2/27-3/3 at Disney World. So excited! We weren't planning to go again until 2025, but DS1 really wants to go again and the promo made it worth it.
We are staying at Wilderness Lodge. Poly wasn't available, Beach Club had only 1 bedroom availability ($$$) and Grand Floridian was ($$$). Wilderness was more in line with what we were hoping to spend and we like the proximity to MK, and the ability to take boat to Contemporary to get on the monorail for Epcot/HS.
Any recommendations or things to know for Wilderness? This will be our first time staying on property at WDW. We have stayed at the Grand Californian at DL, but have always stayed offsite at WDW. Looking forward to being in the bubble the whole time.
I haven’t been to Wilderness Lodge since COVID. We went one night to have the character dinner at Artist’s Pointe. The food was very different from the other restaurants. DD had a poached chicken for dinner that she raved about at home and I tried to recreate it. She was 6 at the time and terrified that the “logs” in the lobby were going to not hold together and the whole building would come crashing down. I never realized that little detail of the log cabin look but makes sense since it’s called a Lodge! DS was not quite 2 yet and completely scared of the dwarves during dinner. I had to turn his stroller around so he wouldn’t see them. I love that I have these funny memories of my kids at this hotel! We walked past the pool area to get to the boat dock and the pool looked fun. That’s all I got, I’m sure it will be a fun time!
