Africa Tour Company Recs

OK, now that things are starting to slow down a bit and we're done with our trip to Georgia we're starting to plan our trip to Africa (previous thread about it here). We've decided we'll go in 2025, so we've got plenty of time to work things out.

I searched the board and saw several tour companies that were suggested multiple times that are listed below and e-mailed them. But, they all want to know who referred me.   Before I say random people on the internet, does anyone want me to mention your name to:

I didn't use any of those companies when I went to Tanzania just prior to the pandemic, but what are your plans for 10 weeks?! Surely not all one country?

Oh heck no! We'd like to see as much as we reasonably can. We're tentatively thinking around 2 weeks in each region, but we're also considering leaving Northern Africa for another time since Egypt currently seems a bit wishy washy for travel.

Keep us updated. I'm far from the travelling stage of life right now so want to live vicariously through others!

My big recommendation for Tanzania is that Tarangiere NP is the best bang for your buck if short on time or money. Close to Arusha, gigantic, everything to see but rhinos.

I imagine weeks upon weeks of safari would get old, so I'm interested in what else you do.

Thanks for the park rec - I'll look into it! We definitely want to safari, but like you've said it would get old so we do need to find other fun things to do along the way.

You're welcome to use my name with AAC, though I don't think it actually gets me anything, LOL. I've traveled with them twice, to Tanzania in 2012 and to Kenya and Rwanda in 2017. Excellent experiences both times and I would absolutely use them again. I'll send you a PM.

My parents are currently on a riveria trip to southern africa and are having an amazing time!

I'm so excited y'all! We've had initial calls with 3 companies over the past couple of days, and should be getting first drafts of itineraries by Thanksgiving. They all had different ideas of when and where to go with some overlap. I can't wait to see what they come up with! 😊

I'm reading Prince Harry's book right now and he's got me all fired up to go to Botswana and the Okavango Delta.  I mean, it's always been on my list but it's just resurfacing my love of safari!

Haha, I was so excited whenever Botswana was brought up for the same reason. 😂
