I realized I never posted "final" photos of my upstairs bathroom renovation. It took forever for the contractor to replace the window and install the shelf, but now it's all done! I just need to repaint the window trim since it got a little scuffed.
In retrospect, I wish I had picked a different floor tile, but the one I had originally chosen was discontinued and I had all of one sleepless night to choose something new that was in stock. I also wish I had done a big sample of the paint in the actual space -- this is White Dove and I *cannot believe* how yellow it looks on the wall -- it looks like a pale butter-yellow. I thought it was a mis-tint at first but the contractor put a dab on the color card and it matches -- it just "reads" super yellow regardless of lighting! It's not a bad color, just not the white I was expecting.
The shower wall tile doesn't look nearly as good in photos -- it is really pretty in real life with differing levels of silver iridescence like a seashell.
It's a tiny bathroom and so really hard to photograph but I'll do my best. The white framed photo on the wall is a secret storage cabinet. Oddly placed, but I had a very limited space between brick and beams to work with, and I think I made it work by making a similar-looking one next to it. Overall, we didn't really have many choices. Only one specific vanity fit, only one specific medicine cabinet fit, etc. It's tight in there but looks so much roomier with the shower and glass door in place of the tub and shower curtain! Changing the door to open out was also a genius move by our contractor.

I love that floor tile, and I actually think the wall colour picks up on the warmth in the floor really nicely - it really ties it together. Thumbs up from me!
Lovely. That shower tile is fantastic, and I never would have known the vanity wasn't one you chose - I really like it. The photos are sweet, and so nice you have a little extra storage, too. Well done!

Ditto - it's a really happy, warm inviting space. I like the tile too - I think the color and pattern make it a little special and it will age better than some cement tile looks (which are pretty, but a little trendy 2020). Well done!
It looks very well curated and laid out. And very cool idea w/the secret cabinet. Just make sure you remember which one (I totally see myself ripping a photo off the wall if I were like not paying attention )
I was initially on the fence about the floor tile choice, but I think it turned out great. And the yellow tones of the paint look intentional and complement the floors nicely without being overwhelming... as Bob Ross would phrase it, what a happy accident!

What a huuuuge difference, it looks fantastic! Before-and-afters are so much fun to look at.
We need to update our primary bath but I WFH 90% of the time, the bath shares a wall with my home office and we live in a not-very-big ranch. So the thought of the noise — I can go into the office for the duration, but still there’s the dust, the construction guys being all up in our space, the hassle….has meant we’ve been putting it off but we really need to bite the bullet. Posts like this are inspiring, thanks

I love everything about it, especially the shower tile! Would you mind sharing the shower tile info, if you have it? DH and I are thinking of redoing our shower in the next year or two.
Overall, it is light and bright, which is perfect for a smaller space. I think the floor tile adds just the right amount of character/fun to the space.
It looks like you also changed the bathroom door to open into the hallway instead of into the bathroom? That seems like a great change as well, to try to keep as much space available in the bathroom as possible.

If it helps, every time I do a renovation my next thought is "I wish I had done this sooner so I could have been enjoying it even earlier!" Zero regrets for anything we've done, and we've done some big ones!
I love it! The shower tile is beautiful and I LOVE the floor tile; I think the paint is perfect with it, brings it all together, and would have thought it was intentional.
