I finished Under the Influence by Noelle Crooks, which was silly, and just started The Heart of It All by Christian Kiefer, which has beautiful writing but I think will be rather sad.
QOTW: Are you allowed to do musicals? I bet I wouldn’t be too terrible at show tunes. Maybe Popular from Wicked. If not that, something Taylor Swift.
I finished Starter Villain, 2.5* by John Scalzi. I had a hunch it was going to be too quirky for me, but I found The Kaiju Preservation Society entertaining so I gave it a shot. I didn't care for it, but I think my daughter would love it.
I'm currently reading The Running Grave by Robert Galbraith.
Qotw: I don't do karaoke, but if I had to pick one maybe Shake it Off? That's the only song that I can think of at the moment that makes me want to sing along.
I started Untamed Shore by Silvia Moreno-Garcia late last week and gave up about 20% in. There was nothing really wrong with it, it just wasn't what I was in the mood for.
I got Starling House by Alix E. Harrow when it came out Tuesday and finished it this morning. I worried that it sounded too much like the Hazel Wood series but I loved it. This might be my favorite book of the year.
QOTW: I picked this after someone asked me as their way of making small talk and I was totally stumped! Maybe I would do something from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical episode. 😉

I read Reluctant Immortals which was a good feminist horror novel. Currently listening to Suburban Hell about a group of PTA moms dealing with their demonically possessed friend. Reading My Roommate is a Vampire which is about exactly what the title says. It's an opposites attract romcom.
QOTW: If you were forced to do karaoke (or wanted to) what song would you sing? I rarely karaoke, but when I do my goto is Jolene.

It's interesting that you posted about this because my library suggested it to me earlier today. I'd not heard of it previously but will add it to my list.
Listening to Go as A River and reading Searching for Sylvie Lee.
QOTW: we were recently talking about this I’ve sang Love Shack with a guy friend. I think I’d give a shot at Pour Some Sugar on Me again, I think I did it once too.
I've been slacking! Still working on Pageboy, which is interesting, but the bouncing around and writing is hard to get through. Trying to finish it soon so I have more to talk about in the next discussion at work!
QOTW: I would avoid it but if forced.. lol. Maybe Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid because why not?
