I'm looking to book a Spring Break trip for early April to Orlando. I see most flights are super expensive because we're late deciding this trip, but Frontier Airlines has a direct flight from our city. However, on their website, they're only booking trips through 3/6/24.
Anyone familiar with how they extend their calendar? Should I just check it every morning?

Is August a typo? If not, I don’t think you’re late planning a trip that 10 months away. I don’t know anything about Frontier but I think flights are just expensive in general, so I don’t think you missed some amazing deal! Per Google frontier books out on average 258 days in advance.

Odd for sure. I also wouldn’t fly Frontier, personally. We did a girls trip and my FIL booked flights on Frontier. The plane was delayed going home multiple times, they had to fly a part in from another part of the country, it was a mess. I booked a flight for the next morning on United. We ended up leaving in the middle of the night on Frontier, but I vowed to not go through something like that again.

Not sure on dates for booking, but you take a chance when flying Frontier, at least from my home airport. They typically only fly certain routes every few days (again, for my home airport, not sure about all airports), so you could be stuck for a few days if your flight is cancelled (or have to book a separate flight). We have flown a few times on Frontier because of a direct flight (should be less travel time and it's easier with kids to not have to make a connection), but I feel like most of the time they are delayed/late in leaving. Also, they charge you for every.single.thing. so in the end, if you want to take a normal size carryon and/or check a bag, and even seating choice, you pay about what you would for a standard commercial airline.

I am giggling trying to figure out why your FIL was involved with a girls trip. Was he one of the girls? Or did you mean SIL
I haven't flown Frontier but I've seen nothing but negative comments about it. I will never say never about a good deal, but it would have to save me a LOT of money to consider it I think - unless you have very flexible plans that can be changed at the last minute if a flight is delayed or cancelled. They are also apparently very picky about carry on size to make it hard not to check a bag.

Nope, my FIL. The girls trip was for my SILs (his daughters) 30th and 40th birthdays. He paid for our flights, hence why he booked. Not a funny story, unfortunately!
