We have had a pretty pathetic fake tree for years. Don’t hate…I grew up with fake trees so real is just not anything we have ever done. I would like to step up our game and get a less shitty fake tree this year. I am overwhelmed with options and reviews are so often conflicting.

Costco for sure! They have several heights to chose from and the tree pieces just click into place. Comes with remote to change from colored lights to white, or twinkle, etc.
We’ve had our 9 ft one for years and it’s still perfect and my daughter had the 4ft one in her room.
We bought a Balsam Hill. It’s…fine. Frankly, I prefer the longer, more “pine”-like needles a few Target trees have but we needed narrower than normal. we had a table top tree from Target w longer needles we used for 16+yrs until a water leak caused mold issues. We got many compliments on it & it looked really full
I prefer a slim tree, we've been happy with both home depot and lowes. I am hoping to go by home depot this week and take a look as I think our current one is nearing its end.
After spending $$$ on pre-lit trees that would frustrate the ever living f out of me because the lights would go out in sections after only a couple years. I went with an unlit tree a few years ago and just add my own lights. It's more work, but way less frustration.
I got this one from Lowes and it's great. Come in lots of different heights

Following because I want to buy one not as our main Christmas tree but to display in a tall window we have above the landing of our staircase. The window is elevated about 6 feet up with a platform where tree would sit, but there's no outlet there nor at the bottom of the stairs (annoying). Any ideas on how I could power it without having to run an extension cord to the nearest outlet for everyone to trip on? It would probably be a 4-5 foot tree and doesn't seem they make those with battery power, understandable because I'd be changing the batteries every week. Just buy a plain one and string it with battery powered lights with timer?
After years of buying trees at At Home, only to have them crap out after 2 years, I got a great deal last year on a 9ft full prelit from National Christmas Tree Company on prime day. I love it! Now, I haven't plugged it in this year to make sure it still works, but it's really pretty.

This is one of those purchases I feel like you need to make in person. I looked at Balsalm Hill so.many.times. but just couldn't pull the trigger. I even thought about ordering their sample branches. But I wanted to see the full tree in person. So I went to Home Depot, Lowes, etc. and ended up buying a realistic looking tree (IMO) from At Home, and then a more 'fun' tree with the Twinkly lights/app (you can make patterns of lights in all kinds of fun colors) for our living room from Michaels. My kids really love playing with the Twinkly app for the lights, and I love my pretty white-lit tree in our foyer lol.
We've had our Balsam Hill tree for 19 years. We keep debating if it's time to get a new tree. It's a pre-lit tree and most of the lights no longer work, so we now put our own lights on the tree. Other than the light issue, the tree still looks really good. When we do get another tree, we'll likely get another Balsam Hill one.
My issue is finding all blue lights this year but we like our unlit tree from Balsam Hill. We got it on super sale and it looks good, packs up nicely in the included bag.
Our pre-lit tree is 12 years old and still going strong. I just went to look at the box because I had no clue what kind it is, and what do you know, it’s a Balsam Spruce from Costco.
I got one at Target a few years back and I love it because it multi textured so it has some branches that are thicker than others and slightly a different color so it looks real. I get comments all the time how people thought it was a real tree once theyvget up close and realize its not.
I don't have the box anymore (we bought a storage bag) but it was that "wonder..." brand. It was set up in person. It is an unlit tree and in 2 pieces.
I have this tree from Lowe's and I really like it www.lowes.com/pd/Holiday-Living/5014172621 I got it on a Black Friday sale in 2019 or 2020, I forget which. I've been very happy with it. I actually kept it up for a year straight in 2021.

I spent $8 (between sale and gift card) on uour tree, which is very similar (if not the same) to the one you posted, 10 years ago. I always get annoyed when adding the lights but it is worth it.
I ordered the fairy lights you posted too to add with the regular lights I put on.

We got these lights for the outside. Our Halloween lights died and H wanted lights that he could change from orange to Christmas colors without having to take them down and put up new ones. There's a little remote to change the colors and you can change them to all blue. I just bought some for the tree
