Anyone taken a tour with a company that you'd recommend that has a good variety of activities that appeal to kids? Not toddlers, like 8-12. If they also can appeal to mobile-but-not-super-adventurous grandparents even better.
My parents are stuck on the pretty high-end companies like Road Scholar and Tauck Bridges, but the itineraries or dates they have don't quite work for us.

We have loved Adventures by Disney Trips. I haven't taken any of the following but look at their websites often, they are similar to ABD: Tauck Bridges, Abercrombie and Kent, Thompson Family Adventures, possibly Austin Adventures or Backroads. Also National Geographic.
We have also done custom trips that are not small group with Scott Dunn.
