Thursday: Horseback riding lesson + 15 mile mountain bike ride Friday: 32 mile gravel ride Sat.: Annual Friendsgiving Road Ride with the crew Sunday: 20 mile road ride--was supposed to be 40, but it started drizzling. I don't do rain/drizzle and 49 degrees.
Thursday: Turkey Trot 8k - it was chilly but sunny, and made for a really nice run. Friday: played with dogs - 5 adoptions! Saturday: i don't even remember what i did yesterday Sunday: strength video, 2mi easy run
bq: I'm getting good at making my grandmothers stuffing - so yea, i probably ate too much of it.
Thurs: Turkey trot 10k. I didn't pace it very well, and never felt like I settled into my stride, but 56:35 is my fastest standalone 10k since 2001 (i.e. college). I don't run this distance very often, but I will take it!
My DD ran the 1 mile trot, and I will never not enjoy the mother/daughter race thing.
She was insistent on wearing her battle braids to TG afterward.
I started coming down with another cold on the ride to TG dinner, and spent the rest of the weekend just trying to rest and breathe through it.
I used to be notorious for spending Dec-Jan sick every year. This year, I've been sick since before Halloween. I've been running through the better days, but I have not been better than about 85% in over a month.
Yesterday 2 of 7 kids who were coming over to make s'mores with our kids, cancelled due to fever. The notices are coming fast & furious about RSV/etc. at daycare. And I've been sick even before all this? I'm super tired of it.
