How do you track your books? I downloaded Bookmory at the beginning of the year, and it's ok. They don't always have descriptions for books though so when I go to look at one I've saved I have no clue what it's about that I wanted to read. It also doesn't really categorize things. I'd like to see what I read vs what I did as an audiobook.
For some reason I didn't want to do Goodreads. I think because it requires an account and I just didn't want to? I could probably be easily talked into it though.
I use Goodreads. It works for me since I'm not really concerned with keeping track of the details of my reading.
I've tried using Storygraph a few times because people seem to like it. It keeps more detailed info on your reading- mood of the books you've read, how you read the books, etc. While I haven't been able to successfully switch over to Storygraph, I think it might be more along the lines of what you are looking for.
I’ve been on goodreads for what feels like forever. I don’t use the app, just the website version. It has book descriptions and you can see the types of book as long as you choose the correct edition.
I thought there was another option that started up relatively recently, but I can’t track it down. I’ll update if I find it.
I also use Goodreads and Storygraph. For GR, I used the tags to label the genre, audiobooks, and anything else like a tag for books set in my state. I also enter giveaways and look at the news section for book recommendations. There's a few things I'd like to change, but nothing that would make me stop using it.
Storygraph like PP said gives you a little more detail. When you review a book, you can select the "mood" of the book, and add things like trigger warnings. You can also use tags like GR. I love the graph part. It's fun to see things laid out this way. If you have GR also, you can import your shelves which makes it easy to transfer.
