Does anyone have a vendor they prefer? Im in Minnesota and have gotten 2 quotes and they are both a lot higher than I thought they’d be. Can you negotiate or do they pretty much give you the price and you have to take it? Cambria is huge here but they are 2x as much as the others. Has anyone tried Costco?

I thought the Cambria guy was a complete trumper but I could be misremembering that.
We got quotes from a bunch and ended up going with the person our cabinet maker recommended. I don't know the name but Charles Custom Cabinets did the cabinets so I'm sure you could call and ask them. Their recc was cheaper than the others we contacted, and they didn't take a cut or do a discount or anything.
We worked with a company through our contractor that sold tile, flooring and countertops. They had a variety of brands and price points. Maybe a local company like that?
We got quartz this summer after getting four(?) different quotes. The company we used is only in the western states but their prices were half of the other quotes we got. The big difference is that we went with pre-fab quartz instead of picking a slab and having it all fabricated. The pre-fabs come in a variety of sizes so we were able to do the counters and the peninsula with bar seating (46” depth, I believe). We’ve had them for almost 6 months now and they are still gorgeous and I love them.
