So we’ve been to DLand once, 5 years ago, and we were quite overwhelmed running around and trying to use the fast passes. I know LOTS has changed but haven’t had time yet to do any research.
Bottom line, if we decide on a last minute trip at end of Feb (prez day week) to DLand, are we too late to be able to do the big rides? I have an 11 and 13 year old and they want to do Star Wars and all the coasters. Just not sure if it’s like DWorld that involves a lot of advance planning. Thinking 3 days (tues, weds, thurs.)

Dland uses Genie+ now, you can choose to purchase it at the time you buy your tickets. or you can buy day of. Disney uses surge pricing so there is a chance if you wait, you might pay a higher cost day of.
There's also individual lighting lanes you can purchase for Star Wars: Rise of Resistance and Radiator Springs Racers. These are both purchased day of.
you can't book rides until you're in the park and have purchased genie+. If getting lightning lanes is important to you, I would get there first day in the morning before their times go up.
