After Christmas, my 7yr old DD will own more makeup than I do lol. She's getting Lip Smackers brand--- 8-pack of flavored lip balms, unicorn eye shadow palette, and a lip gloss. She always wants to try on my blush, so I got her a Wet n Wild compact.
This just reminded me that I should get a pack of makeup remover wipes for her stocking. If I have time to make it to Bath and Body Works this week I might get her a body spray in a scent I can tolerate. She has one from Claire's and the smell is HIDEOUS but she acts like it's the finest perfume from Paris lol.
Target has some cute face masks and bath bomb sets, etc.
ETA- oops- I misread the OP and thought you were looking for other suggestions on the theme so disregard my makeup suggestions! I don't have any skin-care suggestions but maybe some terry "spa" headbands for when she's using her lotions? Maybe also foot masks to have fun with?
I wouldn't get her any of that stuff personally. She is 8, all she needs is a gentle cleanser (like cerave or cetaphil) and a moisturizer with spf (also cerave or cetaphil). Everything else is a scam for kids/tweens/teens. We had a whole conversation with our derm about this for my 12 year old and she said so much of these skin care things are actually damaging kids skin because they don't need it.

This.
Keep it simple and read ingredients. Be careful of anything that’s going to ruin her skin. A lot of the cutesy stuff marketed to kids is full of junk ingredients. Young kids don’t need much!

I don’t have helpful advice but an IG ad for a skin care bathtime regimen for babies was on my feed :/ WTF. I mean it wasn’t anything "serious" but it def had a product for bathing, a product for all your skin, a product for the face and then 1 other thing I can’t remember. No wonder 8 year olds think they need a skin care regimen.
