Friday: Off Sat.: 22 mile gravel ride. I co-lead an all levels gravel ride every month. Sunday: 31 mile gravel ride. Just avoided some heavier rain.
BQ: Not too much. Work will be busy this week, so I'm not looking forward to that. I am looking forward to some vacation, though! I'll continue to work out as normal for this time of year all week.
Friday: 6 mile run Saturday: 8 mile bike ride with the kids (it was a holiday lights bike tour with 200+ other people, it was a blast - photo below!) Sunday: 3.5 mile run
BQ: I'm not feeling too much crunch, I feel pretty well prepared. I will continue to work out as normal (probably more since I'll be off the week of christmas!)
Fri: 3.2 mi run Sat: off / holiday baking Sun: 5 mi run / holiday baking
BQ: I am 100% feeling the holiday crunch, but I'm working through it a little at a time. When we made the decision to travel the weekend of Dec 8-10 for DD to run at XC nationals, I knew I was setting myself up for a tough holiday run-up. It'll get done though.
Thanks to Garmin Connect stats, I realize I'm just shy of 486 miles of running in 2023. Now I'm determined to figure out how to fit 15 more miles in by 12/31.
If I do it, it will only be my 2nd time ever running 500+ miles in a year. 2013 and 2014 were my biggest running years to date, and I ran 522 in 2013 and 495 in 2014. Those were my peak distance, PR type years, all pre-kids. I am not as fast yet as I was then, but it feels good to be back to at least certain measures.
