We had to have the suspension replaced. I wasn't happy but at least it was a few years in.
I may be in the minority here, but the car itself (one of the earlier model 3s) I really like. It's not the perfect car, but it's enjoyable to me to drive it. However, I fucking hate Tesla the company. Hate. And I will never be on board with my husband buying another Tesla. I doubt he would want to since there are other options out there (which there weren't at the time we put the deposit down).

no shade to liking the actual car!
But the MuskRat Telsa Bros baffle me in the face of ALL OF THE WAYS the company itself and Elon in particular are messy. Like if they just stan for him/it hard enough on social media he'll show up and give them a blowjob. Or something.

If it weren’t for this board I would know non of this about Tesla. My dad has a Tesla (I don’t even know which model). He’s a pilot and has always been in to sports cars and tech stuff so I assume that was his appeal to getting a Tesla. I have no clue if he has an opinion on Elon Musk or anything like that. I definitely have learned a lot from the posts on here!
FWIW, I've always disliked Musk and I bring all the bad articles about him here. It's my own bias, lol!
I share this bias. My disdain of him really started when he decided riding personal pods in tunnels under cities was clearly the solution to congestion without acknowledging the entry/exit bottleneck issue, the accell/decell issue, the firstmile/last mile issue....etc. Nothing I've seen about how he runs ANY of his companies has shown me I was wrong in my judgement in any capacity.
He's a douchebag who thinks his way is the only way, details are for losers, and anybody who disagrees just can't see his vision.
It works for him in net because he DOES have a talent for big ideas and hype (and he started off with money), and there's something to be said for relentless forward progress (thinking spacex there), but the collateral damage is only going to keep growing.
Breaking side note: Hyperloop (which had been acquired by richard branson along the way, but was an Muskrat Special when it hit the original hype) is shutting down.

The people who still insist that he’s a genius boggle my mind.
I mean, you can be a genius and still have no clue how the world actually works or have any common sense. Most people who are considered geniuses don't do well in the world overall - they tend to do fine if they just focus on a small area of genius and have someone else around them that helps them live within the world.
He's a douchebag who thinks his way is the only way,
John Oliver did a whole show to him recently. That was pretty much the consensus. They showed a clip of an interview with someone who knows Musk who said something like, he [Musk] cares passionately about saving the world, as long as he's the one to do it.
The only way I can make sense of people adoring Elon Musk is that there are a tremendous number of human beings on this planet who A: don't care if their idols are decent human beings, B: think that being an asshole is actually the most admirable character trait, and C: are so convinced that they too could one day be a billionaire that they're willing to excuse the absolute worst (including business decisions) to worship at the altar of capitalism's winners.
I mean, at one point (years ago) I was interested in Tesla as an electric car. I do think the company made some important contributions to getting us to think differently about gas cars, even though I'm also not convinced that EV's are the future (driving less is much more important).
But at some point Elon started to show his ass in ways that it's hard to avoid seeing. I'm addition to his companies I think it's disgusting that he thinks he needs to contribute his genes (I won't say "father") widely to the human gene pool.
