I just finished The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon, which I really enjoyed. Not sure what’s next; I have a bunch in my library stack, so I’ll see what works.
QOTW: Not much? I don’t have any big plans for the year yet. We’re seeing some touring productions of Broadway shows, so I guess that counts.
Morgan Is My Name by Sophie Keetch, a book about the early life of Morgan Le Fay. This was pretty good but had more focus on a romance subplot than I would have liked. It looks like it's going to be a trilogy and I expected the later books might be better.
The Daughters of Block Island by Christa Carmen was terrible.
Now I am starting the first Murderbot book.
QOTW: We're going to Slovenia this summer. It's been high on my list for ages so I am excited it's finally happening!
Close to finishing Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute. It's fine, but I'm clearly too old for this book 😆 Usually YA doesn't make me feel like that but most YA I read is fantasy I suppose.
QOTW: We leave for vacation on Sunday! Hoping the weather holds out and it's sunny and warm with little wind. We'll see lol. For the rest of the year, the main thing I can think of is growing in my career. I've been at my company almost 12 years. I've done mostly production stuff the whole time, which I liked, but now I'm in a process manager role and I love it, but feel so out of place sometimes! It's definitely different, in a good way, and my team is amazing. So I just need to push away the imposter syndrome!
I finished: Saving Emma by Allen Eskens, 4* (entertaining read, but I liked the first book of the series better)
Boundary Waters by William Kent Krueger, 3* (I like it enough to continue on with the series)
The Last Thing to Burn by Will Dean, 2* (it's a lot like Room, but not nearly as good. The repetition was horrendous- in what happened, in words used, etc. Amongst other issues.)
I'm currently reading The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon.
Qotw: My husband is retiring and we will hopefully be moving.

I drove through Slovenia many years ago. What I saw was gorgeous! I have always wanted to go back and see more of it. Make sure to tell us about it when you get back!

I'm planning to do a recap on the Travel board since it's not a common destination!
I am reading Psalm for the Wild Built now. I’ve finished How to Stay Married (a memoir that left me wondering whether the happier ending would have been for them not to stay married), Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk, and Ten Thousand Doors of January (perfect first read of the year; entertaining and quick).
QOTW: I am looking forward to work and personal travel, including Dublin and a cruise to the Southern Caribbean.
