I just went up from 7.5 to 10 on trizepetide. I’m going to have to back down because it’s dropped my blood pressure so low I’m getting dizzy too easily. But the weight loss is still going and no gastric side effects.

My blood pressure has not been consistently lower, however, one side effect I have had to adjust to is basically any time I stand up from the ground, I get extremely light headed/lose vision for a moment. I know can prepare for it and go slower and that helps, but at least once a day this happens (99% of the time it is at the gym.)
My husband is getting put on one of these drugs (unsure which yet, he is going back next week) after his last physical. He has severe knee arthritis and is not eligible for knee replacement yet as insurance won't pay for it until he's older, so is stuck in a bad cycle of being unable to exercise due to pain, then eating badly and gaining weight which makes his knee worse. His BMI is in the obese category.
Anyway the doctor suggests he tries one of these meds to help him lose some weight and take pressure off the knee, I'm nervous it will make him feel sick but hopefully he will be successful. Reading through this thread to get some info.
They also put him on a blood pressure medicine but its interesting to read that others here have seen the meds lower BP. They did tell him if he is successful with the glp-1 meds, he will probably end up coming off the BP med. Fingers crossed it all works out.

The absolute best thing I've noticed after dropping some weight with these meds is a complete disappearance of all joint pain/inflammation. I had issues with my feet, knees, hips and they are all gone after losing 65lbs.

I've hit a plateau after being on 7.5mg MJ for almost 3 months now. I lost about 7 pounds in the first month, and now I've been gaining and losing the same 3 pounds since. It seems like this dose isn't working as well for me as the others did. I'm sensing a lot more food noise, feeling a lot hungrier, and less satiety. I understand hormonal stuff (I'm a few days away from my cycle), hydration, protein, all of that. I have been doing everything I always do, and I'm moving more (though not outright exercising purposefully, which I intend to start soon). I'm still roughly 20-30lbs away from my goal weight.
I asked my provider to increase me to 10 and she wrote the script, but no one can fill it due to shortages. I have enough meds to get me into August I think, which I'm very grateful, but I'd love to move up in dosage if it comes available.
So I had my first bad weigh in, I gained half a pound last week. It’s my first gain. I have been on 1.0 for almost 3 months and have been consistently losing 1lb per week. Of course I just did one more refill of 1.0 since I will be going on vacation at the end of the week and didn’t want to worry about any bad side effects while I am away. I injected in my stomach last night so hoping that helps get me back on track.
I tried the oral sublingual meds, and it was fine enough, but I didn’t lose. You also have to do it 30 mins prior to eat/drink, which didn’t line up well with our life. Lol. I found a local compounding pharmacy, and restarted the injectables last week. I’d previously put back on almost 30 of the 100 pounds I’d lost. So, it was time. I also started adhd meds, so I was fairly hungry after my meds wore off.
It’s been a week, and I’ve lost a little bit, but overall I feel a ton better again. Energy, sleep, etc etc. I’m also restarting a meal plan for everyone here, as we got a little (a lot) loose with that. Lol
I just started last week. It took couple weeks to get approved by insurance. I was surprised how painless the injection was but I can’t seem to see the yellow window. I was bummed to only lose a pound. I have a very large amount of weight I need to lose. It’s gotten to the point it’s hard for me to walk and go up/down stairs without discomfort.
I’m down 86 pounds since I began last August and have hit my goal weight of 150. I think I feel chunkier than the last time I weighed 150 and I think it’s because I maybe lost more muscle this time around. My next goal is to work on rebuilding some of that muscle but I’m not sure when I’ll actually make my way into the gym.

thissssss. My knees were in so much pain when I did stairs, worked out, anything. That pain was gone when I lost about 60 lbs. laurack, I hope your husband has success and feels better, too!

The low dose is just to get your body acclimated. You will start seeing a loss soon. Slow and steady, it is hard to remember that you did not gain weight overnight, you will not lose it overnight. It has been almost 2 years for me and I am at 90# down; it is a long journey, as it should be.

I am at almost the same place you are; 90lbs, goal is 150, I am between 152-155 depending on the day, lol. My body is so much more toned though because I work out 7 days a week, so I feel good with that, but I feel like my midsection is just...large. I am frustrated that I cannot get the chicken wing part of my arm to go away despite my muscles. I feel really blah about it, despite looking the most fit I have in my life. I look back at pictures when I last weighed 150 (my wedding) and I think I look healthier, but I looked "thinner" then and it is a total mind fuck. **I am in therapy about this, because clearly I have a lot of thoughts about it!
I have been on this for 6 weeks and have not noticed any difference except that I'm more hungry and the cravings are for the sweet/sugary types.
Which one are you taking and what dose are you on? Are you T2D?
I notice when I'm more craving sugary things, I eat fruit and increase my protein/hydration and that usually helps.
I'm on ozempic and have been for 6 weeks. I've been trying to drink more water. I know I need to increase my protein and I am doing good with the fruit/veggies part.

So Ozempic isn't as strong as Wegovy (same drug as Ozempic, just higher dosage) or Mounjaro (different drug that has an extra peptide). If you're on it for diabetes control, it might not give you as much weight loss as the other drugs can due to dosage because it's more to manage A1c than produce weight loss. I'd talk to your doctor about whether or not this is what you're looking for - more the diabetes control side of things, or weight loss, because that may change your meds/dosage. For instance, my MIL is on Ozempic for her diabetes, and she lost a little bit of weight, but she wasn't looking to lose much, just control her diabetes better.

I injected on my arm last night in hopes of getting a better response. I spent all weekend in the woods with my Girl Scouts and I hiked a ton, and I'm up almost 2 pounds today. I'm hydrating like crazy today and making sure I get a lot of protein so I can hopefully balance stuff out today. I'm also waiting on my cycle to start, so I think that's also contributing.
I called around last week, but no one has 10mg in stock at the pharmacies I tried. I might try others that aren't on my usual rotation, but I doubt I'll have much luck.

There is a company called med finder. It was started during the ADHD med shortage. They will call around for you. I haven't used it, but several people on reddit have had success with it. When my prescription for the 5 was called in last week I was going to use them if it couldn't be filled.

I was able to get my 5mg last week. I took my last 2.5 last night which I have been on since April because it was the only dose I could find after being on the 5mg for two months. I am happy to go back up to the 5mg. Hoping no side effects when I ramp up again.

So I titrated up to .7 on the Mounjaro week before last. Got a little nauseated and I am adjusting accordingly. I have lost about 2.5lbs which is nice to finally see the scale move because I was on .5 for a while and saw nothing.
But I have a TMI question. Has anyone noticed change of "smell" down there? As in you shower, and maybe 4 hours later, it's start smelling sweet. Or maybe my sense of smell has magnified. Never had this problem on Trulicity.

Thanks, this helps. The reason the y did Ozempic is because I have congestive heart failure and ozempic is supposed to support that as well. I found the recent studies about the added benefit which is probably why they went this over something else.

I noticed my BO increased as I lost weight, maybe a hormonal thing? No idea. But I switched to using an antibacterial soap (orange dial) and Lume deodorant and it has helped a ton.
Morning nausea? It’s been about 3 weeks since I started and I have had nausea past week off and on but only in the morning. It almost feels like how morning sickness was. I have been drinking lots of water. Online seems to say common sense type things that I think I am doing already. And I have had heartburn. in evenings and over night. Maybe I need to change what I am eating? Ugh. In other news had to use seat belt extender for my first time on a flight yesterday. I am down 3 pounds, lots left to go!
So I've back down on 1.7 for 6 weeks now and finally broke my stall! Getting close to the 50lb mark. Forgot to weigh myself this morning.
I feel so much better on 1.7 than I did on 2.4.
I am going to start 1.7 soon. I am nervous, but hoping it goes well. 50lbs is awesome!!!! I just calculated my weight loss and I am at 24.6 lbs lost which is hard to believe. If I can lose another 15-20 lbs I will be thrilled, but already feeling a lot better overall.

I've been on ozempic now for 7 weeks and just went up to the 1mg. I'm finding I'm not as hungry and I'm eating less. Plus the scale finally moved, granted it only moved 1 pound but it's a start. I'm on other meds that make my joints hurt so it's hard to really do anything (plus the heat makes it difficult).

I make sure to have a snack before bed - sometimes some crackers or a cheesestick. I tend to get the morning nausea when I have gone too long without eating.
Unfortunately my husbands zepbound prior authorization request was denied by blue cross blue shield despite his bmi being 35. Feeling hopeless. The cortisone injection the ortho gave him wore off after 3 weeks and he’s in terrible pain again and can’t exercise. I’m nervous about his mental health after this zepbound rejection today. Ugh, US healthcare.

I had a ton of nausea and heartburn the first few months. And occasional vomiting if I ate too much sweet or fried food. My body eventually adjusted. Hang in there!
