Anyone flown with these meds internationally? Looking for any advice! I'll need to fly with 2 pens to Costa Rica.
I have been getting my Saxenda in Colombia so it always flies. And then I took it on a trip to Italy recently. The first time I got it in Colombia, I carried the (Colombian) prescription back. The other two times, my husband or friends has brought it back without prescription. We have packed it in checked luggage in a cooler. No issues.
When I took it to Italy, I packed it in my carry-on with an ice pack. I had the prescription also.
No one has ever noticed or cared on any of the trips.

Does anyone get their meds from Henry Meds or Mochi or any of the others advertised on FB? I am using Saxenda which I get out of the country cause my insurance pays for zero weight loss meds. It works but it is much slower than Wegovy. It is also stressful hoping I can have someone bring it to me, so I am thinking of trying one of the Facebook ad places, but not without real person feedback!

I did and it was fine. I found somewhere less expensive. Can't comment on the new provider yet.

My mom is starting MJ tomorrow. She finally got an rx from her weight loss doctor. She also has DM2, which I was surprised that they were so reluctant to prescribe it to her.
Anyway, I gave her a bunch of tips and tricks. It'll be interesting to see how she responds to it. She is very eager to see results.

I use Henry Meds. No issues. I’ve been using it for over a year (on maintenance now) so I’m grandfathered in to a cheaper cost.

I just took my fourth Mounjaro 2.5 shot last night. I am down ten pounds which is surprising since I wasn’t expecting the 2.5 to do much. DH and I have stopped drinking during the week for the most part which I’m sure helps. I was really nauseous the first four days of my first dose when I ate or drank anything but haven’t had any other side effects.
I am T2 and am on a lowered dose of Levemir and my blood sugar has been running on the lower side (but not bad low). I haven’t been eating all the carbs I’m supposed to but I will definitely have to once I move up to 5. Staying on 2.5 for another month and it’s already filled so yay because I had to call 15 places before I found someone that could fill my first box.

I also use Henry Meds. Just started my first dose on Wednesday, $297/mo. It's been seamless so far. Had my appointment and 48 hours later my stuff arrived. So far so good. I was really nervous about injecting myself, but it was no big deal.
I also just started on henry meds this week. One reason I chose them is they have an active fb and reddit group I could lurk on. Safety was a big concern for me and being able to read non-moderated experiences was helpful for me to become comfortable.
So far so good. I was very happy with the customer service experience.
Agree w joining the Facebook groups, I'm in 2. There's a few good ones on reddit too, one for just semiglutide that I thought was good and a Henry meds specific one.
I've been on the fence for awhile, but the thing that finally pushed me over was Oprah leaving WW. I'm not sure the exact background there, but it convinced me these meds are worth a try.
I take my 3rd dose of 0.5 tomorrow and already have 1.0. The 1.0 was filled immediately, so hopefully that’s a good sign and I won’t need to stress each month about where I will find it.

I finally started 7.5mg MJ last night and woke up feeling so good! Why the heck did I wait so long?! I can tell that the appetite suppression and food noise reduction is back and I am not having any bad nausea or anything so far. We'll see if fatigue hits me hard or anything, but so far so good. I'm hopeful that my loss will start again (I've been at the same/gained a bit for the last month or so), yay!
Checked in with my mom - I think she was hoping to have the near-immediate food noise reduction like I had when I started. But she has DM, so I'm thinking it might take a little longer for her to get to the same point. She's going to need a lot of encouragement.
ETA: Down 1.1lbs this morning! I finally broke my stall and I'm now in the 160s!

I had a NSV this weekend. MH and I went to an irish restaurant on Saturday with family for St. Patrick's Day and I knew everyone would be dressed in St. Patrick's day stuff. DS has an adult medium shirt so I grabbed that and I was able to wear it comfortably. I was shocked. I had to stretch it a tiny bit, but I couldn't believe I didn't look like a stuffed sausage.
ETA before starting the meds I was wearing a womans XL which was snug. I have really seen a noticeable change in my torso since starting.
I have not lost weight the last 2 weeks, or maybe 1 lb at most, however, I am suddenly feeling my clothes fitting a lot differently.
Last April I tried on a pair of jeans (zero stretch) in a size 12. They zipped up but I could barely move. My goal was to fit into those jeans comfortably and wear them.
I wore them this weekend and needed a belt to keep them up. I bought pants in size 10 and feel like I am finally at the goal that I wanted but now I need to work with my therapist on my mental health as I keep telling myself I still look "fat" or focusing on the negatives. I can see how this can become a slippery slope.

I'm going to sneak something in here that's mostly related - I need to buy a wedding dress, but I don't know what size to get or how to project what to get. In 8 weeks I'm down 21 lbs. How do I do this? I need the dress by Thanksgiving.

Was wondering what side effects were experienced when moving up a from .5 to 1.0 on We Govy? I am due to start 1.0 this Friday and we're flying out for vacation the next day. I plan to take it in the morning so hopefully will be feeling fine the next day.
Also, any issues if you take a dose several days late? We will be on a cruise next week and the logistics of bringing a We Govy pen with me (since it needs to be kept refrigerated) seems complicated and I was considering not bringing it and just taking it a few days late after we get back home? I normally would inject on a Friday and we don't return until the following Monday. We are flying to Florida, then staying at a hotel for two nights, then the cruise for 5 nights and I wouldn't take the dose until our last cruise day next Friday.
Did anyone see Oprah's special on Monday? I love Oprah and miss her show!
Yes, I saw it. I have been following Amy on TikTok who she interviewed first on the show. I still think we have a long way to go with convincing people taking Wegovy isn’t the “easy way out”, but it’s a start.
followyourarrow, That's tricky. I would honestly get a dress that fits you now, but then be prepared to do alterations?
bookqueen15 I had zero issues on Wegovy, only with Mounjaro, so I am no help. Did you have any side effects with the current dose? And no worries delaying your shot by a few days, you will be fine.
Has anyone used the injections thru the Weight Watchers Clinic? I am wondering how that works.
My friend is trying to and says they are giving her the run around. And it will cost around $450/month
I joined last year when WW was partnering with Sequence...I'm not sure if they still do but my experience then was great. They charge $99/month, but somehow they got my ozempic covered by insurance, and I only pay $25/month for that. I've lost 34lbs in 6 months.
I haven't been able to get my Mounjaro 15 refilled for at least a month now. I wasn't too worried at first because I've been extending the doses but I'm close to running out and freaking out a bit. Has anyone else been seeing supply issues?

could you see if they have 12.5? I had to go down a bit last year due to shortages. It was not ideal as I was still actively in the losing phase but it helped and it was better than nothing.

I have been waiting to start since the end of December. I just got word that insurance won’t cover it without explanation. Is there anything I can do to get coverage? My endocrinologist assured me I would benefit medically by taking it due to bmi over 30 and other digestive/gi issues. I’m willing to pay OOP because I do think it would help with digestive issues I have but would prefer at least a portion to be covered.
sandandsea: Plans almost always require prior authorization for these medications because many plans do not cover weight loss medications. For example, my work’s plan does not cover weight loss procedures or medications, but my MJ is covered because of my Type 2 diagnosis and my A1c being so high. So it could be as simple as your doctor needing to validate a few things.
I’m starting 7.5 this Sunday. My pharmacy can’t get it refilled and I know another local pharmacy is having supply issues. I’m glad I have 4 weeks until I need the refill, but I am a bit nervous.
