Has anyone used the peel and stick countertops like these: www.amazon.com/Countertop-Kitchen-Laminate-Adhesive-Wallpaper/dp/B00KEPUQDC?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1? I thought about paint, but last time I painted my countertops it held up pretty poorly. If you've used them, are they easy to put on? Do they hold up? I don't think my countertops could look any worse, I have bubbling, missing spots, and some weird warping at the seams. This is really a stop gap until I can fully redo the kitchen in 5-7 years. I figure even if I need to do it 2-3 times it's still way cheaper than installing new counters.
I can't afford new countertops at the moment, but am trying to refresh the kitchen a bit. I'm in the process of painting the walls and trim, plus I'll be adding peel and stick tile for my back splash. I'm painting the cabinets in the spring, possibly new cabinet hardware. The current backsplash is warped and pulling apart from the wall. I added some pictures (I think) of the current kitchen, the walls are going to be BM Yellow Haze, trim is BM Chantilly Lace, and I'm pretty sure the cabinets will be BM Whale Gray.
Have you looked at samples of the peel and stick in person? I have no experience with the counter. I was interested in peel and stick to cover my hideous back splash, but the samples didn't remotely pass for real tile. Maybe it's gotten better? That was a couple of years ago.

I have not yet, my local hardware store doesn't carry this kind of thing, and I haven't had a chance to drive down to home depot. I'm painting the walls and trim over the next few weeks. I am a very slow DIYer, so I still have time before I get to backsplash. I have no expectation it will look like real tile, but almost anything will be an improvement over the moldy plexiglass I removed. I'm painting the section between the counter backsplash and the cabinets, so just in case nothing affordable looks good, I can leave it as is. I'm missing cabinet doors too, so it's never going to look perfect until I redo everything, but I'm trying to do what I can.

I haven't used it for countertops, but I did buy some to try as a backsplash in 2020 to try and tide me over until I could completely replace what I had. Honestly, it only looked okay for a few months and after 1+ years it looked pretty terrible. It had really yellowed which made it look even more fake.
I am always really wary of quick fixes like this for heavy use areas like counter tops. It's right up there with spray painting faucets, which I've seen online but think would be a terrible idea IRL. I think I'd just try to live with it until I could save up and/or catch a sale, and redo them in a reasonably priced laminate.
