Dear YRLP, I'm still laughing at our career discussion from Sunday. You seemed a bit overwhelmed when I gave you some suggestions for transitioning into my industry. You also said you wanted to go into my industry because you wanted a no-stress job. Of course, at that I literally laughed out loud and started to tell you about the some of stresses. Now you seem scared away. Probably for the better, although I think you would be excellent at what I do. I love you and you are an awesome person. I know you're in a tough spot with your career and I'm happy to be at your side AND be your honest friend through this journey. Love, The original tequila loving, snarky mama
Dear Cancer, I'm using my other hand to give you the one finger salute. There are about 100 people in this world. I could name off the top of my head that you could go pick on besides my little sister. (And you'd be doing the world a favor.) I have no more words for you. Big Bear Sister
Dear self, you knew that the pediatric dentist office only opens at 7 am on Fridays. So why did you not question it when you saw at 7 am dentist appt for all four kids on Wednesday morning?
Signed, this has been a really long day after waking all the kids up super early and hustling them out of the house for nothing…and now you get to do it again Friday
Dear DH,
I know you value your quiet time in our house, but could you not act completely miserable when my parents are here for an hour this evening after flying cross country mainly to help us and see the kids?
This is one of the most international cities in the US with a very very large Spanish speaking population. Why can’t I find an in-person Spanish class not geared toward college students? I need to learn more professional terminology and practice my accent!
cordialmente, Hablo poquito de español y necesito hablar mas español
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
Dear IRS & ODR Both your websites weren't working yesterday afternoon. If you can't handle people e-filing information returns onto your websites, I can't imagine what April 15th is going to look like. Signed I cried over my computer and had IRS nightmares last night. Cranky tax lady

dglvrk2, I'm sorry to hear about your sister's cancer struggle.
186momx, As someone who reports my government agency's software issues to programmers, it doesn't surprise me that the IRS has issues too. Our programmers are short staffed, they release programs by certain deadlines long before the program works properly, and then they have to spend all of their time fixing problems instead of making the software better. It takes months to fix the root of the problem. Just this week we had several hours of unscheduled complete outages in addition to our weekly Sunday morning scheduled update outage. Private sectors don't operate like that!
Dear body, What is going on?! You just slept for 2 hours midday and have done so every day this week. This is feeling an awful lot like covid exhaustion at this point. Coupled with the sore throat and minor fever, and you have me paranoid. But my test the other day said negative. I guess I should do one more to be sure? Signed, Please get better
Dear dglvrk2, I'm so so sorry. Cancer is the worst!

As someone required to fill out the FAFSA, I concur. They did a soft rollout January 1 for new and "improved", and it sucked. I have been caught in what they tell me was a glitch ever since. Cannot get anyone on the phone or help. Now it's telling congratulations, your application is complete. Alrighy then. I don't care. All this headache for you to tell me we don't qualify for assistance. I just want to be able to fill out scholarships, but of course, I have to be tortured with government beauracracy first.
