My hobby is reading. I pretty much do that because it has a very low barrier to entry. All I need is something to read. I don't have to leave the house or prep a bunch of things to enjoy my hobby. Although sometimes I wish I was more into prepping and hard work as a hobby for example biking. I do that occasionally, but not enough to warrant calling it a hobby.
I like playing volleyball and am trying to get more into golf. I also enjoy reading when I have a good book. I don't know if it is a hobby, since I don't particularly enjoy it, but running is something I do frequently.
waverly, I love to read but never thought of it as a hobby. DD would say if she doesn't read at all, the day isn't complete.
Paddle boarding (SUP)...I don't go as much last year and I need to just commit to going once a week this summer.
Diamond dots...the small projects not a big canvass as those take way too long and I lose interest in them. I've done a bunch of wooden holiday decor ones lately. Each took me a couple hours and I did it while DD had the TV on.

My favorite thing to do is float, as in a lake, pool, ocean, river....at times with a beverage. Which is why I'm annoyed I don't currently have a lake or pool.
I took up painting over the pandemic and I'm getting pretty good at it! I learned by watching YouTube videos, lol. Here's a few more recent ones (including one I reluctantly gave to a friend, lol)

erbear, I love the lighthouse & lavender field ones!
I kayak. Itβs my hobby really but my girls are usually happy to come along and sometimes H. I also read a ton. I have a flower garden that is a joy and an obligation, lol.
I recently started dabbling with various types of crafts β quilling, crocheting. This is mostly because my girls are very crafty and like to craft together but I am craft and art impaired.

My hobby is dirt bike riding. My only experience with motorcycles before Beau was riding around my parents' farm when I was in high school. I had never ridden on trails, only open fields and farm roads. I enjoy our easy rides and get frustrated sometimes when we go on the harder trails. It's a nice way to get outside and spend time with Beau. We've combined riding trips with camping, and I guess you could consider camping a hobby too.
We've been looking for a new hobby that can be done when we're not riding. Beau tried to get me into his multiplayer online roleplaying game, but so far it doesn't interest me. I'm not artsy or crafty and have always struggled with having my own hobby.
Mine are not terribly exciting. Exercising hard everyday ( including running, Orangetheory, peloton), reading (light stuff - happily ever after and steamy/spicy books preferred), baking, planning travel/ travel, hiking. I also like to snowboard and do puzzles.
I read. I crochet little stuffed creatures. I draw. I run. Well, I used to and am trying to pick it up again. I do agility with my dog. I collect/play Lorcana. I love perler beading. I bake.
I have a learn to quill kit that I'm planning to try soon.
I go in spurts, however--all in on one particular hobby for a few months, then put it away and do something else for a while.
I love cooking... Alone π I also enjoy writing and am trying my hand at historical fiction in my "spare" time.
As far as sports and exercise I really enjoy mountain biking, hiking and cross country skiing. I run and peloton a lot. I always feel better after these, but wouldn't call them hobbies.
erbear, I love your paintings. We did a bunch of paint tutorial during covid over zoom and they were so much fun. $10 for an afternoon of fun. I wish I could find some of these to do now.

I really just watch YouTube videos and stop them as they go to do parts of paintings.

Still a very good job. The only way I could paint like that is if my body was taken over by the spirit of someone who could actually paint.
