I'm excited for the later sunsets, but ugh I hate this time change. The spring one is always harder to adjust to than the fall and we all feel like crap for at least a week. I'm trying to go to bed earlier in preparation but its the waking up earlier that is going to SUCK (and I'm not practicing that until I have to LOL).
My neighbor thought the time change was last weekend. Good thing she mentioned it so I could tell her! That would have been funny if she did it a week early. Although these days she'd probably figure it out pretty quickly since the phones do it automatically anyway.

I love being able to walk in the evening with more sun. I also don't think I am affected by time changes as much, I don't really notice DST. I was jetlagged for a couple of days coming back from Australia and then felt fine.

While I don't love waking up in darkness, I do like having more daylight on the other side of the day. It gets me out of the "once I get home from work I'm not leaving the house again" mindset and I'll actually go for walks with DD and the dogs and stuff.

I don't love the change, but I do love DST and having it light later in the day.
It will be extra hard this year. We're going to Whistler for a short weekend but need to be driving home at 5am Sunday to get the kids back for lacrosse games. Which will feel like 4am. They'll at least get to sleep in the car.

Ugh, I complained about this in randoms but I hate the time change and going forward always hits me harder. My company has an optional on-site next Tues and I'm not going because I don't feel like commuting in (general) extra early when I'm still tired.
Pick one way (DST or not), stick to it all year. Gawd bless.
I do dislike waking up when it's dark (and having it be dark for awhile after that), but also really love the later daylight. I don't do much before work besides shower, eat breakfast, get ready, so I much prefer having more light after work when I can go sit outside and read, work in the yard, take my dog for a walk, etc. All winter, I just go plop on the couch after work because it's dark so early.
I really love May/June when we get daylight before 6 AM and it's still light out super late at night.
We don't do DST in my state and I love not having to adjust to time changes twice a year. I grew up where there was DST and hated it, it was always rough for that first week after the change. The only downside to being in a place where DST is not observed is that all my meetings at work get messed up twice a year since I work for a global company where all the other sites observe DST, but it's a small price to pay to not have to go through the time change myself. I'll take the 6 and 7am meetings for half the year vs. changing my own clocks. I do wish the rest of the county would just do away with DST.
It gives me so much energy. Only downfall this weekend is I have to work Sat and Sunday at 8am at my 2nd job so I'll be tired come Monday when my FT job starts at 7am! haha
My dog wakes up like he was shot out of some kind of joy cannon. That's loads of fun to handle in the dark. I hate waking up early as it is and the darkness is just a reminder that I should still be in bed.

I forgot this can change schedules for nation wide and/or global companies. This came up at my work and it a PITA to figure out how the person keeping the same schedule effects the overall planned schedule.
I also worked for a company based in AZ who doesn't change the time, and they just made everyone else adjust their schedules around DST...also a huge pain for all of us. Saturday OT moved to 11 AM - 3 PM half the year.

Yeah, this is the exact reason I like it too. In the winter I never feel like leaving the house, and when we have more daylight I'll go for an evening walk after dinner or whatever. I'm definitely more motivated in the evenings with more sun and feel less like a hermit, lol.

I don't know why but this winter has been especially hard on me. I don't usually feel like it bothers me that much. It's probably because I'm stuck home with someone I don't want to be home with at all lol.

starburst604, I hear that. I think I'm in your general area ::waives arm:: and like we talked about in Randoms the other day this 6+ months of just rain, gray, one day of sun, back to rain rinse and repeat is soul sucking. DH and I keep saying that we'll finally be motivated for a MUCH needed outing when we can sit outside rather than sit in a crowded place rather than just stay home.
Let's all pray we have nothing but sun for the next 6+ months or this silly time change really isn't worth it.
I'll say though light at the end of the day is motivating. Y'all are getting me excited for reading outside with a glass of wine (fingers crossed!)

Yes the weather! Add to that the constant wet paws I have to wipe because of said shitty weather. So sick of cleaning dog paws and muddy prints and having the mud cleaning towels strewn all around the downstairs because our Golden must always be dragging something around.
Ugh, next week will suck, but now we’re back to 8pm monthly meetings with Singapore when they had been 7 I bet this change also really sucks for our testing team in India. They are always on for an am scrum and tend to work for half of our day. I’m too lazy to figure out which would be better for them, but I’m sure it’s annoying either way.
