Candy, body scrub, face masks (the cleansing kind, not the covid kind), straw cap things for her Stanley and a couple of books. H also makes a trail of plastic eggs for her to follow and scatters the small gifts along the trail and it's so cute how in to it he gets and she loves it so we'll probably do that forever LOL We put kisses and some coins in some of the eggs.

I don't get my 5th grader an Easter basket, I honestly did not consider that for an older kid. When we're at Target or wherever, he can pick Easter candy out that he likes, so that's good enough in my book. He needs and wants for nothing and just had a birthday party a month ago.
My 15 year old dd is getting candy/chocolate. I just ordered a portable phone charger on super discount during Amazon’s sale so that’s going in. BB&W has their full size body mist sprays on sale today for $4.95. So I’m going to grab one of those. Then probably a Starbucks GC.
It's to hard when they get older, I miss being able to go to the dollar store and fill their baskets for under $20
They are getting candy, a book, DS needs more water bottles for school so probably that
I am lost for ideas, they have so much crap left over from other holidays and birthdays I just feel like I am lighting my money on fire.
Exactly. They've outgrown the coloring books/crayons/playdoh type of consumables, previous years I've done swimsuits and other summer stuff they needed anyway, but no one really needs anything and I'm not doing more crap just for the sake of having it. I'm not willing to give up on doing them though, they're like Christmas stockings to me, they should be fun but nothing big ticket.
DS does need new headphones so I'll probably throw those it, maybe Sbux/7-11 gift cards, and then I know they'll each find something they want while we're in Williamsburg next week so whatever that is will probably go in baskets too and I'll call it a day.
Yeah it’s tough with teens but I’m not giving up on them either. My mom gave me a basket every year until I had DD. I appreciated that so much and will carry on with the tradition. DD even asked me to hide eggs this year. Last year she was too cool for school about it but apparently at 13 it’s fun again.
I just bought some candy last night. I really am trying not to have junk food available to DD, but I also couldn't think of any non food items for DS, and didn't want to give him candy but not her.
Water bottles are a good idea though-- they both need a new one.
If I have time I'll pick up some small gift cards to Rita's and maybe Dollar tree or something. And then cut back on the snacks in the basket.
I usually try to put summer stuff like flip flops and sunglasses in the basket, but they will need all that for spring break so I already gave it to them.
My kids are 7 and 8. They have some candy, a notebook/pen set from TJMaxx, each a pair of summery pajamas, a small squishmallow surprise thing, butterfly clips for their hair and a headband. If I find good bathing suits this week I will throw one in since they need some for our vacation next month but if not they have enough.
An older Pokemon game for his Gameboy (yes, I said Gameboy lol) his favorite snacks and candy small gift cards socks/t-shirt charging cords cord organizer (I got one for H for Christmas and he's been hinting that he wish he had one. And Lord, he needs it) Prime energy hydration drink mixers a few other small things I know he wants, nothing huge And of course a big chocolate bunny (hollow, haters!)
We're going on a tropical vacation 2 weeks after Easter so for their "big" things I'm getting gear for that (new bathing suits, sandals, and sunglasses). I'll round out with a book and candy.
Candy, snacks, fun drinks Video game gift cards DS1 will also get chilis gift card (he often goes to eat with friends) DS2 Barnes and noble card. Probably some clothes. Maueb new bathing suits. sunscreen chapstick

I try really hard to keep Easter baskets from becoming second Christmas stocking. I dunno why, I’m just a weirdo. Easter is mostly candy. But I am patting myself on the back for finding wooden flower kits for cheap at Target. Each kid will get one and we’ll paint them on Easter morning and bring them as a present to my mom for her dinner table when we go there for our Easter meal.

DD is getting sweat pants (her new obsession) and yarn to crochet with and a book of patterns she wants, and candy. Ds is getting some small electronics stuff, like a multi-plug surge protecting thing (don't want to call it a surge protector because it's more like a tower and has regular plugs and usb outlets and whatnot), and extra battery charger thing for his phone, and stuff to clean his keyboard and computer screen so he can stop stealing mine, and a roblox gc, and candy.
My boys are about to turn 17 and 12. The younger’a birthday is the day before Easter so that’s tough lol. I got a ton of candy, lottery tickets, a switch game for DS2, a Lego set (kind of a joke) for DS1, and I’ll get a couple of gift cards for them. It gets harder to think of little things the older they get
DS (14): led strip lights, small case with charging cable and block with name plate, pizza leftover container, Zelda sword building blocks, chocolate bunny
DD (10): led strip lights, small case with charging cable and block with name plate, drawing book, Zelda sword building blocks, chocolate bunny

We generally get them a receptacle that is reusable (like a heavy duty plastic bin they can put toys in for their room, or a canvas bin), some candy, books, a shirt or something, and some consumables like bubbles, notebooks, pens, etc. Now that they're getting older, we hold back a bit. The grandparents still go a little nuts with the candy and toys, which is another reason for us to go light.
