Another longshot for any New Mexico people on here, or people who have been there.
I had planned to go to the Bio Park one afternoon of our trip next week, but some of the reviews online lately are really bad. And I wasn’t really all that interested in the zoo, because we have a really nice zoo here, but apparently the gardens don’t have much going on and the aquarium is very small. I thought they would enjoy the Bugarium, but I don’t need to dedicate all afternoon to the Bugs if the rest of it is really kind of a bust.
I’m thinking of switching to the Explora! kids’ science Museum. If there’s anyone out there with any experience who could help me choose, that would be great! kids range from 9 to 15… I don’t know if that is a good age range for the science museum.
If you're not interested in the Zoo, I would go for Explora instead. The aquarium is tiny. The botanical gardens don't have a lot going on right now either. I don't recall that the Bugarium is worth dedicating the entire afternoon.

Is Explora cool?? If neither activity is all that great,we could also just take more time to wander around shops in old town or something.
It's been a long time since I've been to Explora, but I would say that it'd be perfect for a 9 year old, but maybe a little less interesting for a 15 year old. I just glanced over your itinerary and it's pretty packed already, so I don't have a great suggestion for a swap.
If you'll already be at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, you could drop by Mama's Minerals just across the street. It's pretty cool for a bit of browsing.
