My SIL is pregnant, she's about 10 weeks - I"m the only one in the family who knows (besides my brother obviously). She isn't telling anyone until the end of her 2nd trimester.
She works as an emergency nurse and she's constantly on her feet all day. I was talking with my brother this morning and he said she's having a hard time with the morning sickness and constant back soreness. I want to get her something but any idea what I should buy? They live in NC.
When I was in the hospital good friends had soup delivered to me by a company - I thought about that however the shipping cost alone is $60. I know I'm going to end up buying a lot of things for them so I was hoping to keep this cost somewhat lower.

I would ask your brother if she goes anywhere for massages or pedicures. Then I would get a gift card for those things so she could have some planned out days of pampering.
Eta: oops I see you said you wanted to keep cost lower, so maybe 1 massage or pedicure?
Something self-care related, like a massage or a basket of something she enjoys (teas, bath stuff, whatever).
The best thing my H got me when I was pregnant with our first was a foot massager. It might seem ridiculous but I used that thing every single day, it lasted ~ 3 years of being used multiple times a day.
I was looking at this but it's a little out of my budget considering I'm going to be spending quite a bit over the coming months between the baby shower, traveling to NC, and everything else.

What about a foot bath with a warming and massage feature? Her husband can fill it at the end of the day and let her soak her sore feet. You can use it well beyond pregnancy.
