If you haven't seen it, go watch it. He's got that subtle realistic comedy going. I actually felt a little hopeful for Biden after I listened.
I always like when SNL has guests who aren't exactly the mainstream mold and was excited to see this pop up on the sidebar on YouTube. I didn't realize Ramy Youssef considered himself a comedian. I've only seen him on his series "Ramy" which is not exactly a comedy but has comedic moments.
He had gotten a lot of backlash from the Arab community for not being more vocal about Palestine, with so many people being doxxed or canceled or called antisemitic, so I’m impressed he said what he said on SNL.
I don't know if I am being overly sensitive due to some friends in tough situations right now, but I was taken aback a little by his trans woman president bit.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”

I just got around to watching it and that part was a little questionable to me. I struggled to find the point he was trying to make.

I took that bit to be poking fun at New Yorkers and not at trans women. Given the Joe Biden bit right before it, he seems to be someone who supports a candidate that is competent as the main qualification and that their gender orientation wouldn’t be an issue for him.
Ramy, the series of funny. I was a bit turned off at times because it portrays a lot of stereotypes that are racist and well, stereotypes.
But also appreciated the personal familiarity of being an Arab American.
Mo is another series about an American Palestinian but that series jumped the shark a bit. I don’t think I’ve seen a season two.
I don’t know if Ramy has more than 2 seasons, either.
There is a season 3 for Ramy.
I used to get mad at the stereotypes on TV of Indian Americans. Or I would not like how a character is portrayed as a caricature but you don't know anyone like that in real life. But now I realize that there just isn't enough time to explain cultural nuances to the audience and the audience sometimes might not be capable of more knowledge of a new culture than just the basics. So I've taken a step back and accepted that some representation from shows like Ramy, despite whatever stereotypes, is better than the no representations we had for decades.

Except when stereotypes are negative ones. Like Ramy’s uncle (the character). We don’t need those perpetuated because of lack of time to explain nuances.

Oh! I didn't see that part I only saw the snippet about Palestine/Israel.

I thought what he said about Gaza was spot on and sincere. I just cringed at the other part.
