My house is in shambles right now while it's in the midst of being remodeled and fixed... so I'm looking at ways to clean it when it's done!
I am looking at getting a steam mop - we have tile in our ensuite bath, and will have freshly refinished hardwoods and tile when the floors are done downstairs. I'm looking at the Shark steam mop, but not sure I love it. I'm willing to spend $150-200ish on it if it does a good job and is easy to use, etc. I just want to keep our new floors nice and clean. I'd also like a way for it to clean our shower, counter, etc. if possible.
We have a Shark steam mop and it’s fine. I really only use it for sanitizing if needed. We had a bunch of grout redone last year and the guy who installed it said that it actually causes the grout seal to break down and often forces stains down instead of lifting them up. He told us to use a pH neutral cleaner, so that’s what we use most of the time.
If your grout needs a facelift, I highly recommend just having it re-sealed. They can color the sealer a darker or lighter color and it makes it look brand new. Our entire large master bath cost like $275.

We had a similar thing done with a large area of grout in our house (that is, of course, white with white grout) and I was told the same thing about cleaning it with any kind of flat pad mop. It pushes the dirt into the grout. We had it cleaned and re-sealed with colored sealant and I've been using an O-cedar mop (what he recommended) to clean it.
I have tried different steam mops and everything just pushed grime around. I bought a bissell crosswave because it has a clean and dirty compartments and while I didn’t know a ton about it before I bought it, I love that it has a self clean mode to sanitize the roller and comes with a tray to disassemble the brush, filter etc to allow them to full dry between uses. I’ve been super happy with it for my hardwoods and tile floors. I use it in the shower too.
We have a Bissell stream mop, not sure what model but it’s black and yellow, and I really like it. I use it as a handheld steamer for clothing and upholstery more often than I use it as a mop, and it does a good job but is somewhat heavy for that use.
