I prep breakfasts with plain Greek yogurt and frozen cherries. As they thaw, the juice helps sweeten the yogurt. In the morning, I add granola or whatever other toppings (sometimes mini chocolate chips or coconut flakes, whatever you want). It's a good high protein on the go breakfast.
You can make cherry jam. Either you can use the chia seed method (google) or Pomona pectin allows you to use sugar substitutes & will still jell. You don’t need to properly can either; with the chia just scale down recipe to what you’d use soon & with the Pomona I’ve just frozen in containers after it’s cooled
This cherry bbq sauce is so good! We eat it on steak and chicken. You can obviously sub in standard ingredients, like soy sauce instead of coconut aminos. I usually do. We don’t keep paleo.
Like else suggested, try adding them while still frozen to plain Greek yogurt. It is so good when they are mostly thawed. The only other thing I do is add a very small amount of instant vanilla pudding mix for some flavoring. I’ve tried doing the same thing with frozen berries and I never like it as much as with cherries. I buy the big frozen bags of them from Costco.
My usual breakfast is berries over plain or vanilla greek yogurt with either granola or grape nuts cereal on top, so that's what I'd use them for. Frozen cherries make a fine sub.
I just ate frozen cherries in my smoothie. I use a banana, frozen cherries, blueberries and unweetened almond milk. I sometimes add chia seeds or fiber. Delicious.
