My husband just called and I guess he was following a construction truck that kicked up a giant rock off of Bruce B Downs and now he has a gigantic crack in his windshield. From the sounds of it, too big to get it filled.
When I lived up north, I was constantly seeing ads for companies that did windshield replacement, but I'm blanking on names of companies that do it down here. Any suggestions?

I would call your insurance company and they should be able to give you some suggestions. It's free in the state of Florida and they come to you. When mine got cracked I was traveling in NC, but I was still able to get the name is someone from them.

All I know is that every time I go to a car wash someone is trying to get me to get my windshield fixed by them. I'm like, "there isn't anything even wrong with it." and they point out some tiny pebble hole. BFD. They just want the insurance $ since it is free to me in Florida.

* MH just informed me of the law in Florida where it is basically free to get the windshield replaced. I guess I wouldn't have worried about stopping the guy if I knew that. lol.
Call your insurance company and if you have comprehensive coverage it will be free. Most insurance company's use Safelite for glass repair/replacement.
Also someone likely wouldn't be held responsible for kicking up a rock on the road.
