1) I got a heatless curling thing in my FabFitFun box, and I flipping love it. I can wrap my hair at night in under 3 minutes, it’s comfy to sleep in, and when I wake up I literally don’t have to brush my hair. I just take the scrunchies off, slip the soft rod thing out, run my hands through my hair, and it looks like I had a blowout. For me, the waves only last one day, but I have stubbornly straight hair that has never held curl even for this long.
2) Cute spring/summer dresses that don’t have spaghetti straps. I’m on video calls all the time, and spaghetti straps make it look like I’m sitting around in a bathing suit.
mommyatty Lands End had some cute dresses you might like with short sleeves, cap sleeves and tank top sleeves. If I wore dresses I'd buy some of them and I don't do clothes I can't wear a normal bra with.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
People keep asking me what I want for my birthday. What do I want for my birthday?
I want time with people. Take me to coffee. Or set aside a Saturday morning to window shop or get a pedicure or take a walk. Or go to dinner. Or to the zoo. I don’t care. Just give me a little time. I don’t need or want stuff.

mommyatty, I also love Athleta dresses. I have a couple of cap sleeve ones that they don’t seem to make anymore, but look similar to the essential tee dress.
I need recommendations for books to read on the flight home. I finished mine on the way here what with delays and all.
Couches. Dh and I have been looking for a couch for upstairs. We decided on a sectional to fit the entire family. It's not a formal living room, but since it is upstairs, I don't want a poofy, theater style sectional with cup holders and such. I have a sectional in the basement in that style. I want it to look like nice furniture. However Dh wants it to recline and be comfortable. You see my problem, because come to find out, this seems to be a unicorn. I found the below locally. He's not crazy about it, but can accept it. Here it's about $1000 more than some other recliners. So then I'm back to, maybe I can live with the couch and loveseat I have.
I bought the dog double sided gripper socks that velcro onto her legs. They are amazing and give her so much more traction on the hardwood floors. No more picking the dog up because she gets stuck. The only downside is they can't go outside so I have to take them on/off for bathroom breaks.
Suggestions on what I should do or buy for myself to celebrate the end of tax season? I have the calendar blocked off for my 1st Friday off with the word SLEEP but I kind of want to do something for me in the next couple weeks.
I bought a pair of Old Navy Sleek Tech joggers and I'm obsessed! I plan to grab a few more pairs in different colors. They're super comfy but look pretty nice. I've never been a huge fan of leggings but I will totally wear these instead as a jeans alternative.

Costco has Hilary Radley dress pants again. They're comfy and only $16.
I need recs for dress shoes that are flats or low heal that I can wear with pants or a dress. I have a pair of Mary Janes that are getting worn out. Ballet flats have never worked for me. I'm going to NYC for work next month and will be walking a ton. I may end up wearing my sneakers when I walk and change into dress shoes at the conference.

supertrooper1- I love those pants! I need to go grab another black pair because I wear mine a ton!
For shoes, I recently bought two pairs of loafers and they are so comfortable. One pair came from Nordstrom Rack and the other were penny loafers I found on Amazon. They are Sperry Seaport penny loafers. I’m liking them better than my tried and true ballet flats. For walking, I can’t say enough nice things about my Kizik’s. More of a sneaker, but they are fabulous.

mommyatty, I had never heard of Kizik's until the thread a week or so ago on ML, so I'll have to check them out. I was browsing Nordstrom's website and it looks like loafers are very popular right now.
This is only my 3rd seminar with my group in 5 years thanks to COVID and each time I went out and spent a ton on clothes to be overdressed for this group. I think I'm going to re-wear what I have in the past and just buy new shoes this time. Men have it easy with a polo and Dockers.

supertrooper1, I’m team loafer. I can’t wear ballet flats anymore because I need more support in my shoes. I have a pair of everlane modern loafers that are my go-to office shoe (I wore them almost daily when I worked in an office for a few years and pull them out regularly now and they look brand new) but if you don’t want to drop $150 on a pair of dress shoes you’ll rarely wear, I got some good wear out of my Sperrys too.

mommyatty what is the brand of your heatless curling rods?
