One of my pet parents is graduating from nursing school soon. I’d like to get her something, around $50, as a congrats. She’s also my neighbor and I see her often and her dog is in love with me (lol but seriously) so I feel more friendly with her than my other clients.
I was leaning towards a food gift (I generally do food gifts for most people , since it won’t add to clutter and whatnot) but I was still wondering if there was something better/cuter/more thoughtful that I wasn’t thinking of.
I need ham like water Like breath, like rain I need ham like mercy From Heaven's gate Sometimes ham salad or casserole or ham that’s free range, all natural I need ham
My mom is a retired nurse and her hands are wrecked from all the handwashing she had to do over the years. If you can figure out what type of lotion your friend likes, I'd do a gift basket that contains several bottles!
ETA that I really like PP's idea of a gift card to a scrubs shop, but I wouldn't be surprised if she just gets her scrubs off of Amazon. I'm trying to think of anything else that is nurse-specific... I know my mom spent a lot of money on her shoes... but again, you'd have to figure out where your friend is likely to buy her shoes.
What about a personalized lanyard and/or badge holder? A gift card to the local scrubs shop?
The badge holder is a great idea! They make all kinds of cute ones and you could get a few because the string doesn't last super long - H goes through a lot of them!
I was thinking one of those little plug-in mini crockpots for lunches. Nurses barely have time to eat, so she could stop to eat whenever convenient and always have hot food. Maybe make a few freezer meals, in small portions, that she could take. Soups, stews, etc.
