I ran Helderberg to Hudson half marathon on Sat., and it wasn't really my day. I am bummed. My Garmin map looks really clean, so I'm not sure if the course was long, or the Garmin was short. I finished at 2:09:45 and 13.33 miles. I was really pushing for a 2:07 (to beat the 2:08:04 that I did in October), and it obviously wasn't that day. I can live with that, but I had been doing race math from about 9 miles onward, and I really thought I was on pace to do it. That was what hurt the most, thinking I was doing it, only to realize nope. It was seriously bumming to watch 2:07 roll by on my watch, along with 13.1... then 2:08 and 13.2... and 2:09:00 and 13.3... and still looking for that finish line.
