The game show Joker's Wild. I wanted to pull that lever so bad.
When I hear someone say "joker", I always say "Joker! Joker! Joker!" like the host of that game show would if someone got 3 jokers in a row. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who remembers it!
I also remember watching Sale of the Century, another game show.
I absolutely loved Sale of the Century!!! I totally forgot about that one.
Can someone help me remember the name of this old show? My H and I were talking about it a few weeks ago and neither of us can remember! It had to have been at least 10 years ago, but maybe more.
People were eliminated each week. The finale was a couple, and each had to decide at the end to keep or share the money. If they both chose keep, I think the money was split between everyone that had been kicked off? If one chose keep, then that person got it all. If they both chose share, they split the pot. There may have been multiple seasons, but in the one I remember, one person voted to keep and one voted to share and it was a huge drama because they had “agreed” to share and the second person ended up with nothing.

I was talking with H last night about The Facts of Life because Mindy (don’t remember her last name) is on Palm Royale and it brought to mind one of my favorites as a kid, Rags to Riches.
There was a show on in the early 80s that taught you how to draw in 3D. I think it was on Sunday mornings maybe? Anyways any 3D skills I have is from that.

I remember this one. I have no idea what it was called! I remember only one season and it was a blond couple and they were both terrible. He screwed her over in the end and she ran away crying, lol. I didn't want either of them to win.
Did anyone watch Studs? I loved that show, along with many of the dating shows mentioned. I liked crap TV way before the housewives, lol.

Haha Fifth Wheel was hilarious! My favorite MTV dating show of that era was Next. The fact that contestants literally made money by staying on the date, and that one person could just end the date at any time was so entertaining.

After reading this sentence, my brain began singing:
"Picture Pages Picture Pages open up your picture pages time to grab your crayon and your pencils."
And yet I can't remember where I parked my car this morning. I really should start putting my day to music. "You parked in the far lot your keys are in your pocket, today is Monday have a good one WOO."

Was it Picture Pages with Bill Cosby?
Google is telling me it was Secret City by Mark Kistler.

I still remember being super pissed off as a kid when Rags to Riches was interrupted for Baby Jessica coverage. 😉
The soap opera talk reminded me of the most wonderfully ridiculous one ever - Passions!
The only soap opera I got really into was Santa Barbara with Cruz and Eden (Cruz played by A Martinez). They cancelled it in 1992-ish.
My favorite game shows as a kid were on Nick, where people had to race through a pretend house looking for different clues to solve the puzzle (like a messy bedroom with dirty laundry, or a kitchen full of food and dirty dishes). I think that was on at the same time as the one where families raced through an obstacle course that often included whip cream or sliding into a pool of green water with other stuff floating in it or slime, etc.
I have so many but for some reason what's jumping out at me is Today's Special. The lady worked in a clothing shop and the male mannequin came to life after hours and they would sing and dance iirc. I feel like it was possibly a Canadian show?

Watching "Pop Up Video" was peak college afternoons for me. We also used to watch a very cheesy TLC show called "A Wedding Story." And then we would go to our rooms and study Organic Chemistry.

I watched it in Florida. "Today's special. Shout it loud and clear!" At least I think that was the jingle. I feel like it came on around the same time as bram's elephant show.
Who remembers General Hospital? Or did you have another favorite soap opera??
Senior year of high school we were allowed to go to the Student Centre during free times and watch soaps. I don't remember a lot but we saw a few including GH.
