Bi-partisan support in CA to ban CLEAR from airports

I have traveled a ton over the last 20 years for work...

-Clear used to be great, but it mostly sucks now at most airports & regular Pre-check is faster most places, most of the time...
-The entire TSA security screening needs an over-haul...some places have a "just scan you license" technology & some are starting biometric stuff, but the ridiculousness that is the affair of removing stupid stuff from bags is just security theatre that wastes tons of taxpayer $$ on private contractors and fancy systems....no where else in the world is this bonkers
-There will still be a security line for "airline elite status, first class" and to a lesser extent, pre-check, which are all ways of paying to get to the front of the line or get through faster

Fun fact - CO licenses in some places do not scan. Las Vegas always takes an embarrassingly long time to get through with the TSA agent muttering repeatedly that CO licenses don't scan with each swipe.
